Always liked these characters but never been a big fan of the mold, and what with one thing and another, I found myself with two junker TFA jazzes and here we are. I would have been working on the video today but I live in the south and we just had a blizzard. Given that my last video was interrupted by hurricanes, I'm starting to take this personally.




Transformation video:

The idea here was that the shoulder hood cloak thing would homage the original's bumper/grille/shoulder dealy and also the opposing roof shield dealy without being nearly such a mess to transform.




Kibble is on an arm and then a balljoint, so it can be worn in different positions to suit any social occasion.



Yes, they are symmetrical rather than identical. Arguably, neither arm is wrong, since the original molds has the kibble split between the arms. Plus I figured it would make them more fun to pose and photograph together.




Altmode is basically just jazz with some stickers, but you can see the pipes are gone. That required me to scratch build the entire front wheel and door area, which was super fun to do four friggin' times, let me tell you. You can see here I gave roulette gold rims just so she wasn't all silver all the time.




Their shiny chests are meant to mimic the chromed engines on the originals. They use chrome vinyl and gold chrome vinyl. I went round and round with chrome spraypaint but it just wasn't working out for me. I dunno if I just suck, or if that type of spray paint doesn't like styrene, or if the parts were just too small, but I always wound up with results that were less shiny than my garden variety silver.




Heads are arcee heads with extensive scratchy buildy on top. It's all various thicknesses of styrene.




Since they have combiner force windblade arms, I wound up with a few extra swords lying around so I let them use those. I had considered making them crossbows like the original mold, but I don't really use accessories outside of these very action shots, so I didn't bother.




Since this is it for me for a while at least, I figured I might as well go ahead and do the group fembot photo everybody's always asking me for. This is just the animated gals. Getting all of them together would be way too much to handle.

Well, spoiler alert, these two aren't actually in it. That's just me making random fembots since the original universe mold for these two didn't do it for me.

What's all this cute hat lyzack business? As a fembot enthusiast I feel like that's something I should know.

 

Always a joy to see your work, and seeing the entire lineup of customs made me nostalgic thinking of how far we've come.
The chrome boobs are a nice (retro) touch!

 

Damn, I miss those twins. New Shadow Striker is cool, but I miss the time when she was the evil twin.

Just look at her hat. It's so cuddly.

 

Well, it's still making me regret not watching it anyway and still great customs.

Your stuff is always good, but these are just utter perfection.

 

These are both really good! I like how you streamlined the shoulder armor and shield, and you've managed to make that Jazz mold more feminine that the sisters' original mold. You do some good work, man.

Thanks, but actually Jazz is pretty girly from the waist down. I barely altered that midriff section and the legs are unchanged. It was just a question of where to put the hood and once I had that solved I knew it should work for these two. This stuff kinda writes itself sometimes!

Omg,this is freaking awesome badlampry.i love that someone finally did them in fact it would be cool if they were in s4 of animated so it could show them constantly trying to get each other on each side and making hard decisions about themselves ex:shadowstriker having to save roulette or get something important to the plot.can you make a animated drift or barricade?it would be dope
