I've noticed a lot of discussion on this topic, so I'll post a topic on it. Which is better? FE or RiD Starscream?

I personally like RiD Screamer better. More pleasent of a face sculpt, nice posability, a sleeker jet mode, single missiles, and a nice transformation. That's not saying the FE sucks, but I think the voyager is better. You can complain about scale all you want, though.

    You?

I own both, but have to say that I love the RID version better. His scale is great, and his frame stretched out to Voyager-size makes him look more creepy and 'Starscream-y'. The FE is great, especially for posing with Megatron, but if it comes down to one or the other, I vote RID.

First Edition. I prefer my characters to be in closest scale to the show as possible. Also, I don't have to paint the forearms out of the box.

Both are good toys, so you may as well get the one that looks better with the other characters.

I have FE on display in botmode (alongside the purplle repaint and takara skywarp) and the RID in altmode on a flight stand. The FE is a good botmode scaled against the other decepticons but the RID has a more detailed altmode.

I plan on getting the bbts exclusive starscream and the tfcc exlusive slipstream. The FE mold just nails the botmode so well.

    But scaled to who?

The Deluxe scales well with Megatron, but the Voyager works with the Autobot Deluxes.

The deluxe scales better with both. Starscream isn't that much taller than the Autobots in the show. He's Bulkhead's height at best, which the FE does fairly well. Also, he scales better with the other Decepticons. Just looking at this picture, it doesn't seem right:

FE Deluxe. Scale aside, he is as close to being perfect as it gets.

The FE looks better in both robot and alt mode to me compare to the TFP voyager.

Meh, the PRID Scream doesn't do much for me. His face just looks off; I don't like his forearms; his jet mode looks very messy to me; and he's out of robot scale. Usually I love vehicle scale but for PRID I seem to be a stickler for robot mode scale.

FE is emotive, sleek, and kibble-less. Both versions have the issue of jet with legs hanging underneath. Add some red paint and I don't care about his head crest or tri-missiles.

I'm not going to say choosing the PRID Starscream over the FE is a better or worse choice though. This isn't like Bulkhead where the PRID version is hideous. Both seem to be solid renditions of the character. I just like FE more; no contest.

I would prefer RID if it weren't for the transparent purple forearms. I hate inappropriately used transparent plastic on any figure, but it looks especially bad on him, since purple isn't even part of his color scheme.

I personally like the FE version more. I own both and the RID is still a nice figure, but as far as looks and detail, I prefer the FE version.

FE all the way. Having both, the RiD version was transformed about twice before it went in the "I don't care" pile. Nothing about that figure interests me in the least. The FE, on the other hand, is messed with quite frequently.

The "I don't care" pile sounds like an item of mysticism.

I voted for the PRID version, but FE version is starting to look more appealing to me.

I've never handled the PRIDE Voyager, but I enjoy the size of the FE Deluxe considerably. The only issue I've had is his cockpit's front part broke off, I believe it was glued, but it sucks seeing it separated from the body in a zip-bag.

FE not only looks great with all the other Decepticons but he's an awesome mold and single handedly forced me to buy every other figure released in the Prime line.

    FE.

The RiD Voyager is ugly as hell, imo. Face sucks. Giant, ugly, obtrusive hinges in vehicle mode. Hips suck; looks completely bow-legged, like he was riding a horse for 12 hours straight. Pointless and ugly ankle kibble. Terrible color scheme.

In a line of disappointing Voyagers, Starsceam is one of the most offensive, imo.

Have him say hi to my Voyager Megatron while he's there.
