I just got this guy off eBay from a seller in Malaysia. I'm not certain which release it is, whether it's Canadian, Hong Kong or a Malaysian-specific release. Any ideas?

Looks like the Hasbro version to me. Takara version is a different shade of green and shiny. I got my Hasbro version from the Phillipines and it looked the same as yours...

Thanks guys, but I realize it's obviously the Hasbro version ;)

What I'm really after is, is the Hong Kong release the same as the Japanese Takara release? Does the Canadian release have French on it like other FE figs? Does the sticker on the bottom make it obvious (?) that there was a Malaysian release alongside the Canadian, Hong Kong and Takara releases? I'm looking specifically for what region release this is.

Ah, I see... I guess that's a good question. I would assume that the Malaysian sticker on the bottom gives it away, but there's also writing about Austrailia and New Zealand on there. I'm going to have to check the bottom of my box after work and see what it says now...

As I'm told, it's the Hong Kong version, released in Malaysia.

I'll see about taking a pic later today if I remember, but I'm pretty sure the Canadian release was different from this, if nothing else just on the bottom side with the UPC & whatnot and the French writing on the front.

That's the version you'll find in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, maybe the Philippines, etc. - basically the "Asian" release.

They're all the same, English-only, with some stickers likely put on the bottom that are indicative of which country it was released in.

The Canadian release has tri-lingual (French, English, Spanish) packaging.

The Takara Tomy version is easily distinguished by the metallic green plastic and the "Takara Tomy" sticker on the front at the top of the box. Basically, yeah, what engledogg said...if it doesn't have tri-lingual on it then you're looking at a Hasbro/Hasbro Asia release.

To add to what I'd shared earlier, what the OP had gotten was the Asia Release of FE Bulkhead.

The initial/first release will come with a "yellow sticker" at right bottom of box.

Just like what is shown here:
