It's a damn shame that there aren't very many canon Transformer/Human romantic relationships, especially ones that are well-done.

And I will defend with my dying breath that Starscream and Alexis actually loved each other. I don't care what anyone else says. If you want to hate me for it, fine, but I just feel as if their relationship had way too much development to simply be called platonic.

It's also a damn shame that this topic cannot incite mature discussions and instead people must put their two cents in just to say "WTF?!?!?!".

And anyway, TF/Human relationships are lightyears better than those rabid yaoi fangirls who ship Starscream/Megatron. Ugh.

 

I'm not talking in absolute terms here. I mean relative to, say, Harry Potter, Twilight, various anime franchises, Sonic SatAM, and anything that attracts a lot of fangirls. We have it, but it tends to stay less visible instead of spilling over into every corner of the fandom. That's about how it should stay.



There is nothing "mature" about finding vicarious substitutes for relationship needs in non-canon wish fulfillment fantasies. Especially not when it involves giant robots.
