With WfC releasing next month (it felt like it would never come!), I was thinking of great moments from the game in 2004 which was the best TF game so far. This can be cinematic or gameplay

For example, I enjoyed the tractor beam mini-con because on the Pacific Island I tossed Decepticons far.

Also on the island I discovered that equipping Optimus Prime with Super boost and dashing into people sent them flying.

I loved that game, beat it on every difficulty at least once. I really enjoyed the large maps and exploring every part of them looking for Minicons.

When I finally beat it and it was over.

That was my favorite game moment.

And Tidal Wave was pretty awesome too. Although it made me wish the toy were a lot bigger.

While I really enjoyed all the boss battles, there's just something about starting out on the first level as Hotshot. Gunning down the hill in car-mode, ramming groups of minor Decepticlones into oblivion, before Transform-jumping over the remainders and carving them up with a blaster.

The first level just epitomised the fun of being a transformable character. Being in an almost constant state of transition between modes, and never having to walk anywhere (other than on ruins). The Hotshot character providing the speed and momentum to do all kinds of crazy stunt kills, (especially with the right minicons).

Agreed. I've fought bosses in games before that were technically larger, but for some reason the sense of scale really worked here. Plus, the booms his missiles make really reminded me of fireworks and worked in giving you a sense of dread.

I also really like goofing off with the way it would go into slow-mo when you combined with your mini-con companion. It was never all that usefull, but it could make for great moments. I loved riding off the top of a water fall, transform mid air and combine with the mini con while spinning the camera around.

I'm going to have to join in and add that Tidal Wave was awesome.

One of the first Video Games I ever played, I've only played it once, but I still remember it.

The first time I climbed to the highest peak in the amazon and jumped off with my glider. Best distance and graphics I had seen on the PS2, and still underappreciated for that.

i loved just driving into a horde of decepticlones and then jump transforming, slo-moing, and then spinning round and unloading my rocket launcher, then driving back through whoever's left.

most amusing. that game needed a city level of some sort.
