Favorite Wreaker? Mines Roadbuster because of his name, appearance and weapons.
Roadbuster was awesome and had the best lines!
Very funny Hot Shot.
EDIT: 25 away from my 700th.
Although the reasons for not giving Topspin any dialogue are unknown, to me it had the possibly unintended consequence of creating a character that was my favorite.
Unlike the other two, Topspin doesn't run his mouth constantly and talk smack about everyone and everything. He is the silent but deadly type (no I don't mean he has gas, though he runs on it). If you watch him, he jumped to the front of the line in the Wreckers' assault on Shockwave, then at movie's end he jumped to the front of the line in their assault on the big green "Cloverfield" Decepticon. And while Optimus was hanging from the scaffolding and the other Wreckers talked and cut at the wires, Topspin took the death defying leap onto Optimus way up in the air.
To me I think the other two talked a good game but Topspin was actually the ballsiest of the three. He didn't have to say jack, just jumped headfirst into whatever danger was present, did his job, and then quietly left. He was usually pictured off to the side by himself away from the other two when they were first introduced and again when standing atop the rocket prepping for launch. So he was more of the quiet loner type amongst two brash loudmouths, but he was brave as hell.
Granted, in the other fictions like the novel and whatnot my theory goes all to hell cuz he's given dialogue and plenty of it. But for purposes of viewing the movie alone, that's how I saw him.
Leadfoot. He was fat and had the best lines. Plus the other two came off as pretty generic to me and aren't as memorable design-wise.
Leadfoot only had about four, five lines. Roadbuster was the true comedian of the group.
How many lines did Roadbuster have?
15, maybe 20.
Roadbuster HE IS 4-EVER EPIC!!!!!
More like 10 but okay.
Personally, I'm more fond of Guzzle really, although Ironfist is certainly a contender. Who doesn't like the little Wreckers fanboy nerd who eventually defeats Overlord with his MIND?
"You're gonna risk the life of all me mates? I'll (ball or something) you!"
"You are ridiculous!"
"Well, you're not helpin'!"
"The ship? We were never on the ship. We designed the damned thing, didn't we?"
"Let's get some!"
"Optimus! We're comin'!"
"Quick! They're launching the pillars!"
Yeah... Close to ten.
Late in the movie Roadbuster also says
"We gotta cover for Optimus!"
"Rip that pillar down!"
Bottom line both he and Leadfoot talk too much while Topspin is always out in front of the line of fire or taking death defying leaps. Silent, stone cold killa Topspin FTW!!!
WRECKERS, KILL IT.
A NEST soldier said "Cover for Optimus!"
And yes, I forgot about that last line.
Dammit!, fuck OFF! Please!? Just for once!? Every time I put up a thread this guy shows up and trashes it! SO NOT COOL MAN!
Burnout to Firestorm:
Of the movieverse Wreckers, Roadbuster for design, Leadfoot for personality.
On the topic of lines...
ROADBUSTER - (13)
-"Ya’ gonna’ risk the lives of all of me mates? I’ll ball ya’! You can’t-"
-"Ya’ gonna’ pull that, ya’ nancy wanker?!"
-"Oh, I know. Just stop whinin’!"
-"You are ridiculous!"
-"Well you’re not helping!"
-"Time to get off this planet."
-"This is going to hurt...a lot."
-"The ship? We were never in the ship! We designed the d@mn thing, didn’t we?"
-"Let’s get some!"
-"Hurry! They’re triggering the pillars!"
-"Rip that pillar down!"
LEADFOOT - (8)
-"Gonna’ be ten 10,000 pounds of torque on that itsy-bitsy bolt, not 19!"
-"It’s time to kill him!"
-"Five minutes to go."
-"Check the nitrogen levels. We’re bookin’ outta’ ‘ere."
-"All right, hustle up! We’re launchin’ at dawn!"
-"Wreckers, kill him!"
-"We were hidden in the first booster rocket to separate. Splashed down back in the Atlantic, just as planned. We ain’t goin’ nowhere."
-"You got that right."
Those numbers aren't too bad considering they show up with like, an hour left in the movie.
Separate names with a comma.
