It's odd that after all of these years I still have yet to find a version that completly outshines the original. In 1985 G1 Shockwave was large and had several points of articulation for that era on top of being electronic. Later versions are technically superior in some ways but they just can't quite measure up to the G1 version. The Energon and Alternators Shockblast were okay, I think The Energon version was closer to the G1 version imo but he wasn't quite there. The recent pics of the FOC figures looks nice but I do wish he was a larger size class. Then again most of the FOC figures are not on the large side (regrettably) so that argument may be moot. Opinions?

    Animated. Loved the mole aspect.

EDIT: I thought this was in the general discussion. FoC Shockwave's toy is my favorite.

DOTM and FOC even though I only own DOTM.

Dunno why, but I just don't dig TFA Shockwave's overall aesthetic.

The original sadly hasn't been beaten yet, but I do like Alternators Shockwave, even if it does have pretty limited arm articulation.

    Animated and FoC.

    DoTM Shockwave sucks beyond recognition.

    Non-Hasbro: Cyclops looks most excellent.

G1 Shockwave is still king, especially if modified as several customs have shown. Shockblast from Energon is worth noting too: sure it's unweildly, but it is probably one of the most imposing toys from that entire lineup.

Absolute fave though has to be DotM. It's unique, very posable, and has a ton of presence as a toy. It's probably the only mold I'll ever own all versions of, and two customs on top of that and *still* be able to get each in a different setup for display together.

EDIT: And boy do I really feel in the minority right now...
