I know I said earlier on when Animated first started appearing that I wouldn't pick up any of the toys, no matter how fantastic their design was, because I didn't like the aesthetic. Well, I'm weak, and after watching the first 2 seasons, the design has grown on me. Not ALL of them, mind you, but some. Particularly Optimus Prime.

Now, I own the Battle Begins 2-pack Optimus, and the Voyager Optimus, and I'm currently torn as to which I prefer. Granted, Voyager Optimus is big, clean, has the nifty faceplate feature, scales well with Prowl and Black Arachnia (Currently the only other 2 figs I have). But there's just something about 2-pack Optimus' look and feel, even beyond the axe. If a non-battle damaged version of his appeared, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, and I don't know why! his transformation is actually more complex than the Voyager, and this mean, beefy look to him.

So, which version is your favorite, and why?

i like voyager even if he is big, but i don't like the battle damaged deluxe and the cybtron vehic mode is iffy. i dunno if i'll pick that up. one problem with voyager prime though - not one autobot symbol on him. might have to hit up some repro labels...

Voyager all the way, but I do like C-Prime to an extent too.

Voyager. Irregardless of the silly weapons. The figure itself impressed me.

Voyager. The deluxe sized versions are too small and the Supreme class is way too huge.

They should have done a leader class Optimus and a Supreme class Bulkhead instead.

Voyager. Hands down. One of the few figures of any TF series I would consider near perfect.

Voyager all the way, I love how it has an awesome gimmick that does not get in the way at all of the figure.
But voyager with 2-pack's axe is epic win at it's finest.

Deluxe 2 pack Optimus (Which I repainted and removed the battle damage)
Compaired to Leader Megs, Voyager Bulkhead, he is to scale.

The Voyager is clearly the best in looks and size for me. However, I find myself having more enjoyment out of the Cybertron Deluxe Prime due to his insane posability. The guy is wicked! His alt mode is "meh", but once he's in his bot form, he's more bendy than big Voy Prime. Has a better axe too. As a stand alone toy, he is awesome. Compared to other figures for scale, Voyager Prime is a better fit.

Minus some loose pin joints, Voyager Prime is better than the deluxes in all aspects.

I really like the Deluxe Prime, but the Megatron that came with him, I don't like. Can't stand up for shit. His legs are too loose. But Prime's awesome.

Voyager Prime, looks the closest to the show, accurate transformation, and I actually like the weapons. And at least it was on screen for more than 10 minutes in 2 seasons

    This.

    Though it is VERY close.

What accurate transformation? Prime transforms completely different on the show. (Albeit, it's impossible to make it in the toy, what with the arms folding uplike the C-Deluxe and sliding into the cab, so they just did a more
    G1-y transform for him)

I've had all 3 at one point... Cybertronian is the only one still here. (ignore the fact I can't find the voyager one at retail... For $15, of course I'm gonna get it again)

Decent transformation, feels solid, it's different...
