Overlord, Flatline and Wheeljack The one that had a more G1ish head and labcoat kibble.

    Overload.

The DOTM Lugnut design as well.

I think that the early Wheeljack designs had promise, but since Bay said otherwise...

Though it made me want to see what Pixar could do with a Transformers film.

I really liked Hightower's design. Very unconventional.

The Osprey robot. I think it was labeled as Springer.

I think Springer got pretty close to being in the movie, as he got a robot heroes and a legends class figure.

Yeah, according to the TFWiki, it was basically late in pre-production when his character was dropped completely. He was part of the script, had a couple figures made of him. It's a shame. I would've loved to have seen him in the movies.

This dude would've made an AWESOME comrade to Devcon.

I prefer this version of Wheeljack over the one we got.

Can't get enough Constructicons. Would have loved a nurse to go with Doc Scalpel.

I like concept art Wheeljack better because his face doesn't give me nightmares. He looks like a nice old man.

And those Constructicon designs are cool , but kind of impractical for combat.

The two Wheeljack designs in question are "old man-like" in different ways.

The final movie design is essentially Albert Einstein in robot form. Wild and crazy hair with a bald spot (like a "crazy scientist") and a moustache. The concept art above has a more generic old man. His mouth almost looks like...like he's got no teeth. Sucking his lips, for the lack of a better term. I'll try and find a picture if I can.

Obviously not quite that old, but mostly for the facial/mouth design.
