I've been thinking about triple-changers lately and wondered what other people consider to be the best triple-changers.
Classics Astrotrain. Great robot mode, good shuttle mode... interesting train mode. Blitzwing is delightfully charming in all of his modes. I love his boxy jet mode, and his mildly derpy robot mode... but most people can (rightfully) be put off by them. Broadside is my favorite triple-changer in theory... being pretty much the only aircraft carrier Transformer, PLUS the added hilarity of turning into, you know, an airplane as well.
Classics Astrotrain is my current fave. Excellent bot mode, convincing shuttle mode, and my girlfriend really loves the bullet train mode.
Blitzwing & Springer for me since they're the only ones that remotely make any proportionally consistent sense when it comes to their alt modes.
g1 astrotrain, minus the missing sliders in his arms, all three modes are perfect g1 blitzwing, same as astrotrain, the arms are the only flaw in the three modes warbot defender, the only modern triplechanger that doesn't sacrifice both the alt modes
I love Classics Astrotrain for the same reasons as mentioned by others and it's even better if it's the Henkei version! G1 Sandstorm's also a good triple-changer since all his modes are well executed and convincing as well.
I like Classics/Henkei Astrotrain too. Personally I think Has/Tak did a great job with it. Classics is still my favorite overall but IMO Cybertron is definitely the best mainline by far
Snapdragon and Apeface hands down. Triple changing Headmasters can't be beat, my friend. I wish they would've made more of these, had them both when I was kid and my friends were so jealous.
