Realizing TR Overlord is literally blue steel, worth another FOTD.
Greater than my wildest dreams. Everything I could have wanted and more. My first ever Transformer is redone and it's probably my favourite Deluxe class TF EVAH!
I know the Jumpstarters are regarded as some of the lamest G1 toys of the first two years of the line, if not all of G1, but I still absolutely love my little G1 Topspin with all my heart. He was the first G1 toy I bought when I started collecting again. I even bought reprolabels for him and Twintwist (which I've actually got round to applying). Maybe it lacked the intricacy and classic cool of Prowl or Jazz, but I really do think he's an awesome looking little robot. Plus he's got one of the coolest G1 guns ever.
"This is the end of the road, Galvatron!"
I've been wanting to take that picture for a long time.
I guess I've made my peace with Rodimus Prime. I used to hate him for taking Optimus's place in the '86 movie.
PotP Rodimus Prime for today.
I like the big lunk too.
Been messing with UW Devastator and decided these are my favorites of the team.
I'll be honest, I have no idea where this idea that the Jumpstarters were any more or less lame than many hundreds of other G1 Bricks comes from, but I don't buy into it. They certainly didn't flatter to deceive on their boxes like plenty of other more "celebrated" TFs did (Starscream and Co!)
They had one gimmick.....and again plenty of the rest of G1 had that going on too. I liked the designs and the idea that they were a co-ordinated team. And yes, the guns were great.
They were honestly two of my favorite, most played with figures back then.
If only you were Leader Class
I've always wanted to do a poll. "JUMPSTARTERS:Shite or alright?"
Alright! I had a much loved Twin Twist as a kid.
In anticipation of MAYBE talking the wife, kids into letting me get my first Legends Takara release I had TR Blitzer and Megatron out last night playing and playing with them, I just LOVE That mold and am not only accepting but THRILLED to try and get it a third time in matching purple to my Current Voyager theme ... I just love the uniformity of the Alt modes like a standard Soviet-ised Decepticon army. ... I'm just trying to remember that Megatron clones name I read on TF wiki the other week... so I can repurpose him ( the LG 63 guys) when / if I can get him.
Oh Man I don't know whats happening here but I need some of it, I want one more white/ red Aerial bot for my mix and match Superion. I like the gold guy ok but sometimes I want my Souppy all white and red
Dude, I'm glad for you to get such a good condition item in package ... but man that Alt mode just doesn't have much "shelf Appeal" to a kid does it? its just sort of a grey plank
Oh Yeah pretty sure imma army build those guys when they hit here
Great Choice, I can never not want to play with my CW Mirage, now I wish I had mine with me today he may be me AND my older sons fav Deluxe
This is how I roll as well, I also did a Version where I screwed the face plate off of a Skytread and used Overloads TM body since the Skytread face matches triggerhappys thruster nozzels and Overload matches Triggerhappys blue body color so well. It made a permanent character in my ranks and got me started swapping TM faces for better color matches a LOT more often, seriously its just one screw I don't know what took me so long!
Another great choice, just a top notch toy that's vastly indurated along with any of his moldmates like BC Optimus
I mean they are some of the only transformers from the era that would stay together and be ready to play if you tossed em in a box to play another day... just being a self contained unit was a bonus in those days and even as a 7(?) year old I got that the trick they did was why they were what they were and loved them in their own way.
Titans Return Kup (feat. frozen lemonade and a 2 liter)
Power of the Primes Slash:
I genuinely am staggered by what they did here. This is an exceptionally well realised piece.
He kickstarted a lot, that lad. A lot.
"Such heroic nonsense."
Combiner Wars Leader G1-style Megatron for today.
