I seem to remember thinking that the Aerialbots were CW toys that most of the design budget went into, because they stood head and shoulders above the other teams in terms of well thought out design and quality. I think Skydive was probably the first CW deluxe I got and I remember thinking he was the nuts and spending ages playing with him on some autumnal Saturday evening. As ever, memory is a slippery pig and now that I pull Skydive out and have a look at him I think "is that it?". Superion is still the best combiner out of the bunch and Silverbolt's torso form remains impressive.
Maybe it's a result of the high quality of the TR deluxes, that I look back on CW and find it hard to remember what excited me about these guys? That said I'm super grateful to have such updated versions of the 'Special Teams'.

That's gotta make the full set for you right? I'm hoping some of the earlier releases magically reappear so I can catch up. :)

Nah, I only have the three. Thorner will arrive from China some time in the next two weeks, but I may or may not get Slag. I’ve just always felt a bit meh about him. And PotP is round the corner as well so need to save now.

Oh wow, I just saw a thing on tfs that said huge war in pocket restock. Didn't even click on it. Just hope some of it's still around the next time I have some fun money. :)

Yesterday and today go to TR Grotusque. He is just awesome! He does to the Twinferno mold what Quake did to the Hardhead mold! He just owns it!

Oh man my poor wallet. I think I am a well and truly fully paid up DX9 fanboy now. These are the dinos I dreamt about as a kid. Yup I literally used to dream about wildly advanced versions of my favourite characters like this.

Godamnit I might have to buy Slag just to satisfy my sense of completeness.

Oh my! Those are the clearest pics I've seen of TR Grotusque. That is such a characterful facesculpt. UNF!
I also really like how he differentiates himself from Doublecross in beastmode. Much like the TR Decepticon Targetmasters, these two strike up the perfect balance between uniquetitude and conformity. Total Squad.
    Oh, for a Deluxe Repugnus!

May as well do a cheeky 2nd pick of the day as I'm posting this pic elsewhere. Very excited to see what the Potp version is going to look like all combined.
