With WFC out now, I was just wondering what every one's favorite TF based game is.

This thread's been done a few times -- just one from the archives:

    http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...n/159005-your-favorite-transformers-game.html

What's funny is that with the solid positive reviews for War for Cyberton already, TF fans can finally have a "favorite" TF game because they all mostly sucked up until WFC. "Armada" received the most favorable reviews of all the previous TF games, but it was still plagued with flaws and frustration and even those who enjoyed playing it found the flaws hard to ignore.

I've recently been playing through the ROTF game on the PS2 (which until WFC would usually rank 2nd place in fan polls on TF games), but the controls and gameplay can sometimes be as frustrating as Armada's were. But at least you get to play as the Decepticons. Still, as with Armada there's rarely much reason to be in Alt mode and it's just a really repetitive hack-and-slash shooter too. And for powerful, nigh-invulnerable characters like Optimus Prime and Megatron (who is supposed to have "no known weaknesses"), they sure do die an awful lot in the game.

You didn't include either of the Beast Wars games in your poll, but they were both pretty crappy anyway.

I won't be playing WFC until much later this year after the price goes down and I can afford to get a console to play it on. But just based on initial reviews and gameplay videos, it's already my favorite now.

Love the games from the 07 Movie, ROTF, and Animated... at least, for the DS.

I just purchased WFC and yet to play it, but I'm sure it'll become my favorite game.

By far, the 07 Movie DS games. Lots of great voice acting, good balance of melee and gunfire (looking at you, ROTF and WFC), and absolutely fun multiplayer.

The Animated game was fun in its' own ways, but not the best.

My all time favorite TF game is Armada, I haven't played WFC yet though.

I'm with Valkysas. Couldn't you have at least double checked your spelling before making the poll?

I forgot about the BW games. The only one i played ws on the PC. I really don't remember much about it.
Game prices are the main reason that I rent games instead of buying. Got tired of buying crappy games.

I picked both Armada and WFC. WFC wins it for me personally, but Armada was great for it's time.

Actually, out of all the TF games I've played (which I admit aren't a lot), I enjoyed the BW Transmetals game the most. I mean, it was a fighting game that actually used all three modes pretty well. I always got my ass kicked when I'd fight Silverbolt though, that air attack he had was brutal.

WFC. The only others I would even consider competition are the Armada game and the ROTF game.

If WFC wasn't out Transformers Armada and ROTF would be on top right now...
But ya, I must say WFC!
But I did feel that the ROTF games was better then the movie its self!

    I've played 2.

ROTF and the first movie game. Both we "Meh", but it was fun just fucking around in the first game more so than the second.

    I NEED WAR FOR CYBERTRON.

Being a G1 fan, Transformers Tatakai for PS2 is awesome. The battles are a little tedious and boring at times but seeing the G1 combiners or Trypticon beat the shit out of you is quite fun :p

Tough to choose between WFC and Armada. Think I have to go with Armada. More exploration. Amazing, cinematic cut scenes. Huge variety of weapons/gadgets.

They also took the worst version of TF and made it awesome.

As much as I'm enjoying WFC and as huge a G1 fan as I am, I'm afraid Armada gets the vote.
