Rhinox, Perceptor, Wheeljack and Ratchet...especially TFA & TFP Ratchet's, they've had to do a lot with so little--mostly left over earth parts and pieces.

Well, I guess for the same reason that he needed Scorponok & friends. He might've been the brains & brawn, but he was also the leader who needed to keep watch over everyone & everything else (especially given the Predacon nature of treachery) while completing his own agenda, so having a couple of nerds around made sense. That's how he had the time to build another Dinobot(s), blow up mountains, and masturbate to the golden disks.

Also, honourable mention goes to BW Silverbolt :lol

Shockwave and Tarantulas are tied for me with Beast Wars Megatron as a close second.

    The best Cons are purple.

I've been trying to think of someone other than the obvious choices and came up with Pipes. He was kind of smart, right? His little bit in Forever is a Long Time Coming? "Nuts and bolts I understand. Theoretical physics... meh." Smart enough to reactivate Perceptor AND humble enough to admit the stuff that's beyond him!

I like Ironfist from the Last Stand of the Wreckers, because he isn't just a smart guy, he's a fanboy, he has conflict and character growth. I would love to see him recycled into a future Bumblebee (optionally with gadgets instead of weapons).
