    Good choice of a quote

Although honestly I would've thought that the majority of the fans would've voted for "Megatron must be stopped,no matter the cost"

    My favorite line was

I always loved that line, because of all the grief Starscream gave Megatron over the years. You know Megs enjoyed doing that :ev:

Although I think Starscream kicking him back in Autobot City pretty much clenched Starscream's fate :D

That was a long scene for the quote...I'm guessing it was just the beginning, the, "Please have mercy" etcetc...but, the "It's over, Prime!" would work well too.

I agree with Shaun, though; "Megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost" would have been a much, much better line.

, those votes were rigged anyways. I refuse to believe more fans voted for the fight between rodimus and Galvatron than the Prime/Megs fight.

    I dunno, I would've voted the Rodimus/Galvatron fight.

Granted, watching the two titans go at it was incredible. But Rodimus/Galvatron? You have this hot-headed child of a Transformer suddenly thrust into a position where he needs to face off against the most powerful decepticon ever - made even more powerful - all by himself. It's not so much the actual fight, but understanding what might have been going through Hot Rod's head at the time.

He had no problems blindly tackling Megatron in the beginning without regard to his own safety, but making an attempt (a very, VERY poor attempt) to help Prime would have been more important than his own safety. Against Galvatron, his back was to the wall, with both Galvatron and Unicron closing in on him.

There's really a lot to think about in that fight.

But if you want sheer badassery, yeah, Prime/Megatron wins.

They were rigged, but in a different way than you believe.

I'll put it here now, in case there's another poll, we can all send e-mails and tell them to get a competent web programmer to make sure on that one.

There was absolutely no checking to insure that one person got only one vote. A person could've voted as many times as they wanted. You could do so by selecting your choice and clicking the 'submit vote' (or whatever it was titled) button. Each time you hit it, it would register your vote. You could also do it even easier. When you cast your vote, a window came up showing how many votes which quote had. Reload that window and it sent that vote in again, instead of just getting a refreshed tally response.

I didn't get a chance to check the first poll, but I could definitely see someone taking advantage of this by scripting on the quote poll. After a day or two (I don't remember exactly when), the Prime quote ("I thought you were made of sterner stuff") started getting between 3 to 5 votes a second. This was consistent every time I checked back (the last time I checked was Sunday). No other quote had that pattern of behavior on all the occassions that I observed the results.

There aren't enough people out there that would have been voting to account for this behavior other than someone using scripting. These polls do have fraudulent results, but it's from Sony's laziness, not their desire to see one result more than any other.

I think the winner was "I thought you were made of sterner stuff"

I think "Megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost" may have won, if it would have been included in the poll. They picked some pretty obscure quotes and many here were noting better lines that weren't an option in the poll. I don't remember lines like "Light our darkest hour" or "One shall stand, one shall fall" being included and I think those would have done well. Anyone remember what the options were?

I have to admit "It's over Prime" is my favorate quote but I just have to wonder every time I see that part of Prime and Megs fight why didn't Megs just shoot Hot Rod in the head when he had the Deus Ex Machina pistol pointed *Right* at his head. I mean so Megatron is this uber solder/fighter and he leaves a potental threat right behind himself so that what he can be shot in the back? I can't think of any solder in their right mind who would do that ever. Or am I just over thinking it and should just sit back and enjoy the big shiny robots making things go boom?

it's good to know something of the original movie will remain in the new one, but of all the quotes to use!!! this just keeps getting worse!!! I was hoping for "One shall stand, one shall fall" personally, just to see optimus in all his badassed glory... but I think it's time to give up... *sniff*

The Atari/Melbourne House Armada game picked better movie quotes than that.
