    Sunstreaker for me since both the model and the toy (specififclly the G1 toy) was smexy in car mode and Lamborghinis (spelling?) are some of the greatest cars I've seen and the yellow helps.

    "Original" Autobot cars just meant the first series of 11 released in 1984. Tracks was part of the 2nd series in '85, along with Hoist, Grapple, Red Alert, Smokescreen, Grapple, Inferno, and Skids (although Skids really came out between series 1 and 2)
    Hot Rod, Blurr, and Kup were the '86 release, and the first non Diaclone origin cars.

    If we're talking "Autobot car" as in "which one was the coolest actual car," then definitely Sideswipe, though Wheeljack and Bluestreak are great too. Characterwise, probably Prowl is my favorite

    The coolest car was certainly Sideswipe. My favourite original Autobot was Hound, that guy ruled. Wish they'd kept him as the kid-friendly companion.

    Hound was an awesome toy, just wish he was a little bigger- and almost everyone lost that goddamn gas can the first day!

    For pure sentimental value, Prowl. I liked that mold in both modes, and thought he had cool box art. He was also the first TF I owned.

    Retrospectively, maybe Sideswipe, for being a great car, and having a really well designed robot mode.

    Honourable mentions:
    Hound would have gotten a mention, but his feet were too big, and his arms were too short.
    For some reason I was never that into Jazz. Maybe because he was so popular? Good mold though.
    Mirage was cool too, but I never actually saw an intact one. they were all broken at the waist.

    losers:
    Wheeljack gets the boot for his gorilla proportions. Ratchet/Ironhide... well, do I really need to say? Trailbreaker had his oversized head and beer belly... Sunstreaker had a great headsculpt, and an awkward bot mode.

    Year 2 had some good ones... Skids, Inferno, Tracks... all great.

    It's a real toss up among Hound, Prowl, and Mirage for me. I loved their personalities and their looks in alt and bot modes. Wheeljack is close in on that list for me too.

    hmm, easy to remember/recognize as time passes. and gets mentioned in between conversations. i remember when we were still kids back in the 80's...
    "bro who is your favorite?"
    "THAT POLICE CAR!"

    so yeah Prowl!

    no matter how many cooler cars exist, "that police car" didn't fade on me up to now. that recognition was the reason Prowl became my favorite.
