    G1 of course.

    The only other one I even acknowledge is the green and purple G2 tank version.

    CW Megatron from that so called adult animated mess by Machinima. Was the the only saving grace of that disaster.

    G1, RID2001, Armada, Energon and Animated.
    Beast Wars Transmetal is my favorite design for anybody called Megatron but i dont consider him the same kind of guy and i actually dont consider RID2001 to be a G1 kind of Megatron either.

    Well, that was answered better then I could have expected.

    Beyond that, I do have a certain fondness for the IDW Stealth Bomber design as well.

    G1 will always be the most iconic to me - but being objective, if all the designs were put in front of me I'd plump for G2 tank Megatron.

    I'm going go go with Megatron's Transmetal and Beast Machines designs. Transmetal Megatron was the best-looking of the Transmetals, period. Beast Machines Megatron, meanwhile, was wholly unique - we haven't seen anything like that since. Runner up looks to be Last Knight Megatron, but we haven't seen that one in action yet.

    I'd go with G1, but if you want to get technical I'd go with one of the IDW G1 designs from when Megs was still a bad guy, which was basically G1 on steroids.

    The Combiner Wars design. G1-ish look with the tank mode instead of the gun.

    2. TR Megs
    3. G1 Megs

    G1 Megs was such a classic design and so difficult to capture in toy form. I'm kinda tired of it though. I think the updates that design got in CW and TR were pretty good.

    Yes! Beast Wars Transmetal, Beast Machines, and The Last Knight are the three best Megatron designs in my opinion, in no particular order.
