Since the NFL season just started Thursday and NCAA Football started last weekend, I figured that this would be the best time to make this thread. For me I have to make two categories when I talk about football movies; comedy and drama. My favorite football comedy is The Waterboy. It has a great cast and me and my friends used to quote it all the time when I played football. It also has Lynn Swann and Bill Cowher in it. Being a huge Steelers fan, those cameos pleased me quite a bit. The runner up is the original The Longest Yard. I thought the remake was alright, but it doesn't beat the original. My favorite football drama is Rudy. This movie is just plain great and emotional. I also can relate to this movie because my brother plays football and is a little short as well. The thing is though, my brother is determined and he is really tough. I swear he's knocked people taller than me on their ass. I think the runner up would be Invincible. I have a few honorable mentions because they're not football movies but they are some neat football scenes in movies. First off is Smokey and the Bandit 2. Even though this is nowhere near as good as the first one, I still rewatch it just to see the scene where Bandit talks to Terry Bradshaw and then Mean Joe Greene flips Jackie Gleeson's car over with his bare hands. The other one is The Dark Knight Rises. The Pittsburgh Steelers are in the scene and Hines Ward has the most epic touchdown ever. This all preceded by an awesome quote from Bane.
