Ever think that a cover band does a classic song, like "You Really Got Me", a bit better than the original guys?

Here's a few examples (in my opinion) of such guys who did so...

"Johnny B. Goode" by Judas Priest (Originally by Chuck Berry)

"I Fought The Law" by the Clash (Originally by... the Monkees?)

"Smokin' In The Boys' Room" by Motley Crue (Originally by Brownsville Station)

    What are your favorite covers?

My favorite covers would have to be Manson's take on Sweet Dreams and Disturbed's take on Land of Confusion.

Aerosmith's cover of Come Together gets a nod to, cause honestly? i only like Beatle stuff when its covered heh.

The Green Manalishi (with the two-pronged crown) by Judas Priest (originally by Fleetwood Mac).

They made it their own and one of the best screaming metal chants ever.

Bono's cover of "I AM Walrus" is very factitious.

I'm partial to Johnny Cash's cover of "Hurt" by Nine Inch Nails.

Other than that, there are some that are pretty good for shits and giggles.

I Ran, by Bowling for Soup (Flock of Seagulls)

    Tom Sawyer, by Deadsy (Rush)

You Really Got Me, by Van Halen (The Kinks)
