Got bored so I decided to do a random thread about Box Arts, besides that what is your guys favorite box arts, and why? It could be anything from exclusive Botcon, or SDCC stuff of course TF-Releated, me personally I love Generations/FoC Shockwaves Box art with any deluxes it's nice and clean and represents the character nicely, I also love the returning packaging of the G2 Bruticus figure.

Here are some pics of some the exclusive toys, and their box arts this year

If we're doing any box art, G1 kicks the shit out of EVERYTHING.

For this year only, hats off to SDCC Zombie Cliffjumper. That thing is a beautiful work of art.

One of the main reason why I pre ordered g2 bruticus was because I loved the box.

    Big time.

The modern box art does nothing for me.

It's the same way movie posters used to be kick ass paintings. Now movie posters are just photo collages. Dry and soulless (with a few exceptions). I feel the same way about most modern TF box art. It's just boring.

That scene of Bruticus stomping Autobots is pretty awesome, though.

Generations Swindle is the only release that sticks out as memorable to me. The SDCC exclusives are cool, but the art, as AMAZING as it is, isn't that memorable.

SDCC Terrorcon Cliffjumper wins it for me, but an honorable mention goes to the Ultimate Giftset. I don't know why, but I like it.

Speaking of side box art, I think the Kreo sets look nice side by side. I like the Kreon art.

I hate to jump in here with semantics, but "box artwork" and "package design" are two different things. One refers to an illustration used on a package whereas the other refers to the package as a whole.

As far as "box artwork" goes, I've got to give that to the SDCC Bruticus set. I really like the character artwork used for the FoC figures (probably the best things about them :lol )

For this year it has to be G2 Bruticus.

    Of all time, G1 card/box backs - especially 1984 and 1985.
