My favorite is the headmaster gimmick
my least favorite is the Powerlinx gimmick.
This is a tough one, but...
I nominate the Michael Bay hate as both the best & worst fan gimmick of tfw.
My favorite is Powerlinx/2-3 figure combinations. My least is either Cyber-Keys or Pretenders.
My favorite gimmick is combiners, least favorite is Mech-Tech.
Favorite. Combining of any sort.
least favorite. Cyber keys.
Least - Action/Micro masters
Most - Probably any other Master (head/target/power)
Least favorite: Action Masters
Dislikes owerlink and Cyberkeys
most: transforming. Aside from small-scale automorphing, gimmicks take away more than they add.
dislike: Mechtech weapon system. It's lead to a line whose Voyagers are barely larger (and has as much plastic to them) than Deluxes from a few years ago. Hasbro... the movie line IS THE GIMMICK.
Favorite = Transforming
Least Favorite = Intrusive gimmicks that end up sacrificing a would-be cool toy.
Fav is Minicon, worst is Mech Alive, especially when Mech Alive doesn't work.
Faves : Combining (Includes Headmasters/Powermasters/Brainmasters etc)
Least : Color change
most - cyberkey or mech tech
least - automorph or mech alive
Like rub signs hate keys.
Like: Combining, Headmasters
Loathe: Mini-cons, Cyber Keys, Powerlinx
I'd like rub signs a little more if they were on women's underwear.
Favorite gimmick? IDK
Least favorite? That cyber key gimmick or w/e it was. That's just a ******ed feature. "Loool, i need dur key to activate dur weapon!" What if you lose the key? good job, you have a gimped figure now. Also, any gimmick that ends up ruining the figure. See: TFTM Deluxe Barricade and its "punch" feature
I actually like Mechtech a little more than I thought because one, it's cool how you can mix, match, and make a weaponized figure just by attaching a bunch of weapons to it. Hasbro has gotten me buying some figures I originally wouldn't buy just because I want their Mechtech weapons. And two, it doesn't get in the way of the actual figure at all (stuff like Megs/Shockwave are exceptions). It's completely optional and doesn't affect anything else.
Fav. Combining and Headmaster (Skipping Transforming even though that is the ultimate gimmick)
Least-Powerlink. Along with any gimmick that sacrifices the toyéfigure for the gimick.
