I love just about any sports movies, but Friday Night Lights and Remember the Titans are both classic films.

Miracle was good, and I liked Mystery, Alaska, and can't go wrong with some Mighty Ducks 1 & 2.

Does Caddyshack count as a "sports" movie?

    The Program was fun.

For drama, you can't go wrong with Rocky (the first or last one). Brian's Song is a really good football film. Both Invincible and Miracle are enjoyable. Miracle is the better of the two films though.

Comedy I'd have to go with Major League and Caddyshack.

Might as well round it off with a top 10...

    Hoosiers
    Friday Night Lights
    Remember the Titans
    Rudy
    Eight Men Out
    The Natural
    Field of Dreams
    Miracle
    Breaking Away
    Lords of Dogtown

By "last" one do you mean Rocky Balboa?

It was an alright movie, but I found it to be lacking the levity and drama of the earlier films. There was something about those first Rocky movies that got you pumped up, and it wasn't fully there in Rocky Balboa.

Or do you mean Rocky V? Because there might be nothing better than a Vince DiCola score that sounds exactly like TF:TM, the fun of a Rocky movie, and the "If you can change, and I can change" speech.

Rocky Balboa, Rocky V is actually painful for me to watch. I kinda liked Rocky 2, but after that I didn't enjoy another one until Rocky Balboa. I liked it because Stallone knew that people would be like "Another Rocky movie...groan" and he used that to his advantage. It wasn't afraid to make fun of itself (the Spider Rico stuff was gold) and the whole move felt like a love letter to Adrien, with Rocky using his last fight to finally try to rid himself of the pain of her death. That'swhat I enjoyed it for and the fact that it ignored Rocky V almost completely.

That's the movie with Vince Vaghn and Ben Stiller right? I saw that on TV a few weeks ago. It had some LOL moments.

But I'm also going with Drippy on "The Program" that was a good movie. Rocky IV gets my vote too. Man his training in the Russian moutains was hardcore :rock  But I unfortunately haven't seen/been interested in too many sports movie. Although I'm surprised *unless I missed it* that no one's mentioned "Million dollar baby" from all accounts I've heard/read it's a damn good movie

    :lol

By all rights, Raging Bull should probably be at or near the top of any list of Best Sports Movies, but The KA asked for faves, which I took as stuff I can and have watched over and over (and over) again. Raging Bull, while great...is not one of those. As for the Caddyshacks and Major Leagues, I tend to punt those over into the comedy genre more than sports.

    Shawshank Redemption.

That scene where Red is playing catch in the yard while Andy talks to him for the first time is hands down the best sports scene EVER.
