Wild Zero, starring quite possibly the best (or at least the loudest) rock band on the planet: Guitar Wolf. Zombies, laser guitar picks, transsexuals and guitars that turn into samurai swords FTW.
Definitely the Beatles movies (A Hard Day's Night and Yellow Submarine esp.)...School of Rock....Bill & Ted...The Wedding Singer...Green Day's Bullet in a Bible Also, in a looser definition, 8 Mile, the Austin Powers films, Doom (both the soundtrack and the presence of the People's Champion), the music dance number from Clarks 2, some of the soundtrack from Cars.... Also gotta give a shoutout to a rockin' band, Hep Alien!
The loudest rock band in the world is Manowar. Look it up. Though I'm tempted to check out that movie for the guitars that turn into samurai swords. Awesome.
Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Tommy. Two of my favorites. Also, The wall. Great for when you in a unique mood.....Yeah, I'm old.
I'd rather sit down and watch a few good "rockumentaries", such as: Dig - About the battle between the Dandy Warhols and the Brian Jonestown Massacre The Filth and the Fury - The story of the Sex Pistols New York Doll - about a former member of the new york dolls No Direction Home - Scorcese directed about the career of Bob Dylan The Last Waltz - Scorcese directed documentary about "The Band"
Not really rock, but Walk the Line should be included in great music movies. And O Brother Where Art Thou?
Stop Making Sense is awesome. No Direction Home The Last Waltz I'm Trying To Break Your Heart (wilco) (which my ex has and I want it back...should I ask for it? lol) Sunken Treasure (Jeff Tweedy solo acoustic...which I bought for my ex for christmas but she forgot it at my place, I guess its a trade off) Okonokos (my morning jacket) Meeting People Is Easy (radiohead) Anyway, as far as fictional movies go Almost Famous Spinal Tap The Bill and Teds Wayne's World Airheads SLCPunk
