I got the special edition of the follow-up to the original F/TC today, the Megamori Box for Fate/Tiger Colosseum Upper!

The game mechanics are pretty similar to those from last time around, but with a few tweaks here and there - mostly in terms of how allied characters can combine attacks and stuff.

The Megamori box comes with a few extras - a drama CD, a DVD with a few clips from the two TC games, a set of awesome tarot cards with the Fate characters on 'em, rules and a sheet for some kind of game I have no idea about, and a cool folder for carrying the tarot cards around!

Oh, and the actual game, too.

Now, I just wish that someone would pick this up for a Western release...

    What is this madness?

    Is it a fighting game?

    Yep.

You fight in various arenas, against 1-3 opponents - as demonstrated here - and occasionally more in one or two of the single-player stories - and stuff.

The game is in Japanese, but it's fairly easy to pick up - there's even a video you can play from the main menu which shows you which buttons do which, to help you get into it.

You can also play against others on the net via wi-fi, too.

It's a less serious take on the Fate/Stay Night setting - if you want something less comedic, the upcoming Fate/Unlimited Codes might be a better bet.

Well, except that F/TCU will play on PSPs around the world, whereas F/UC will only play on Japanese PS2s/PS3s...

Well, in that case, feel free to add a comment here!

I have the Revoltechs, Frauleins and Figmas of Saber (And the Bome' as well), Dark Saber and the Chick in the Maroon shirt. I just wish I knew more about the story to Fate/

This might help - but checking out the Funimation release of the anime box set, or of Tokyopop's upcoming release of the manga, might help also.

I'm happy with anything that does not have Archer in it. Can't stand the character.

Your heresy isn't rewarded in this case - Archer is indeed featured!

He's even the Temperance card, too.

(Note - I'm not being too serious with the heresy comment - just in case anyone was wondering!)

That looks crazy and fun, as does the packaging and all the extras.

Save the lung, and order a set online!

(I got mine via Fan2Fan, but I don't know if they will be able to find any in the shops at this rate...)
