Hasbro: Fate of Animated To Be Revealed at Toy Fair Next Week Transformers
So we might get some heartbreaking news on Saint Valentine's days?
Atleast its not too far away, sadly I won't be online much that day since it is V-day and the gf won't be too happy if I stay glued to my computer lol
Thanks for the topic but unfortunatly you don't get news credits for stuff from tformers.
If they do say anything, I personally wouldn't expect it to be good news for animated fans.
And now... we wait.
I'm even MORE anxious for the toy fair now.
I still believe if they had no plans canceling the show after Season 3, why keep it hush hush? That tells me the show will be cancel after Season 3.
, first I break-up with my other and now this, I hate V-day!
Oh man, I'm almost afraid to find out. Speculation among fans is one thing, but if Hasbro does officially put Animated on the chopping block, it will suck. So long to the best series since Beast Wars.
We're either getting terrible news, or fantastic news, V-day.
Frankly, this "we haven't heard much of S3" argument holds no water for me, as we knew next to nothing about TF:A S2 and most of S1 before they aired.
it would be the dumbest move by Hasbro in a long time to cancel Animated...*sigh*
At least we get to see new Transformer toys though
Well this is great first i have my v-day plans ruined now this at least ill get to see the new trailer the day before damn
You know what grinds my gears?
TV Series that have to be influenced by a movie. I'm afrais if Animated ends , we will have that. And trust me, a lot of people besides myself, don't admire the movie aethestic.
So, if RoTF's toyline kick out Animated and delays Universe rerelease, then TF collecting is out of the door for me.
Pity that it has to be in the 25th anniversary of this amazing franchise.
Even if you don't like the movie aesthetic, this can still be a great year for Transformers.
We've already gotten some really cool stuff this year, and even if we don't get an Animated season 4. We're at least getting a season 3 and the toys that go with it.
The movie will bring in even more attention/money to Transformers. That combined with whatever the designers learn from the movie line will guarantee that whatever comes next will be awesome.
Although there is that whole economic crisis thing...
Hmm. It's probably either a hard date for the season 3 premiere or the news it's been cancelled. I've already made my thoughts well known across the various threads, but once again, if it's cancelled, especially to make way for more movie crap, then Hasbro will have a hard time winning me over as a fan of any series in the future. Once burned, twice shy and all that.
Plus, if it's nothing but movie figures from June to December, well, that's a lot of product I won't be interested in, so that'll make it a fiscally pleasant year. As it stands now, Baron Ransack Von Joy is the only ROTF figure I have any plans on buying.
On the plus side, Animated has given me some fantastic figures, including a personal favorite (Shadow Blade Megatron), a definitive Destron Commander (Leader Megs), and a number of other fantastic molds and hours of entertainment.
We don't know how long the Animated line is going to be around.
And many more people DO like the movie aesthetic, which is why it sold megafucktonwattloads in stores two years ago. Making it arguably the best selling TF line in the whole history of the franchise.
If Animated falls, oh well, I won't lose any sleep over it, it was nice while it lasted. More money for movie toys the way I see it.
The show is canceled, as are the animated comics. The artist on the comic series confirmed it
I hope that we get the premiere date for Season 3, instead of news that it's been axed.
*crosses fingers* Please not be axed, please not be axed...
