Vin Diesel expressed interest in making another one and even gave details as to what he wanted to happen in it, not sure if it will actually go anywhere though.
The cast of Fast Five: More here: New cast of Fast & Furious 5 Revealed!! Ladies pick one!! Lol!! #MAYHEM! | TweetPhoto
The fourth one took place between 2-TD. The fifth one might be between 2 and TD. Maybe F&F 2.5? Being a car buff my self, I preferred the car chasing scenes in the 2 and 3 ones. First one was sort of week in that regard. I admit, I really enjoyed the car chasing drifting scene through Tokyo in Tokyo Drift. Just kind of thought it was sad to see Hans killed. Can't be any worse than Police Academy 10,000. Or what ever the last PA movie was. LOL! How many did they make?
Joaquim de Almeida, Elsa Pataky and Matt Schulze Join FAST FIVE With Fast Five (The Fast and the Furious 5) already filming in Puerto Rico (they started on Tuesday and the first images of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Ludacris, and Tyrese Gibson are here), you knew it was only a matter of time before Universal would announce other casting, as we still didn’t know who was playing the villain and you can’t make a Fast and Furious movie without a love interest. And wouldn’t you know it….Universal has announced through Variety that Joaquim de Almeida and Elsa Pataky are joining the cast as the villain and female lead, respectively. Also Matt Schulze, who appeared in the first movie, is back in the fifth installment. More after the jump: According to the Variety article: Portuguese thesp de Almeida (24, Desperado) will play a ruthless and powerful drug lord. Pataky, a native of Spain, is onboard as Diesel’s love interest. If you missed our report from earlier in the week, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has also joined the cast alongside Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. For fans of the Fast and the Furious franchise, the film is shaping up to be the biggest in terms of name cast members. Justin Lin (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast and Furious) is back directing again with Neal Moritz producing. When I interviewed Moritz about the movie back in March, he said the movie will be filming in Brazil, Puerto Rico, a little bit in Los Angeles and some in Atlanta. Also, they’re already developing a 6th installment. Considering the last movie, Fast and Furious made $353 million at the worldwide box office and the reported budget was under $100 million, this is not a surprise. Fast Five is scheduled for release June 10, 2011. http://beat-box.com/?url=http://www...-schulze-the-fast-and-the-furious-5/#comments
Wait... How the eff is Tyrese doing this and TF3 at the same time? I can't front, Vin, The Rock, Paul Walker, Luda and Tyrese? I'm in. Sounds like a big dumbass fun summer movie. Next summer is going to have alot of movies to watch.
A couple tricked out Toyota Prius(es) with nitrous and those Energizer Lithium batteries for real go power. But honestly, some franchises should just die off and be remembered as good films
I like what Justin Lin has done with the franchise. He has shown that he can really shoot action scenes well. Hoping he succeeds with Terminator 5.
