Some of the FABs were fun, but for the most part they were kind of boring and peg warmers for months.
Hopefully a few of these are worth buying.

Could be. Our source only told us the item name and assortment name (given as "MV2" rather than the official subtitle, a common shorthand in computer systems). Although there's those badass concept sketches of a new Megatron, and one of them did show a tank mode.

However, what is clear is exactly what I said. A Cannon Blast Megatron will be in a Fast Action Battlers assortment for Revenge of the Fallen. What does this mean? Speculate away friends!

We've known that there would be Fast Action Battlers, but it's nice to know one of there names! Especially seeing as it confirms that Megatron will have a cannon. Hopefully though, it will be a Fusion Cannon! :D

Edit--I still remember that that report said 64 Transformers altogether, counting Fast Action Battlers, along with all the repaints planned for each figure. I wonder how many Fast Action Battlers are being made.

I guess I'm curious because I've only seen them sell when no figures from the main toyline were left on the shelf. Not to say that they didn't sell well, just that it appeared, to me at least, that the preference of most shoppers were the main, more complex figures.

News to me that we're getting FABs, but bring it on! Just wish we could get characters like Ramjet and Smokescreen as mainline repaints now.

Cool to see the FABs are returning.

Will I buy them? Probably not. But they're a good option for people.

I thought Hasbro said we wouldn't get Activators for ROTF and we all know that the current Activators are just Animated's version of Fast Action Battlers. So to me, no Activators equals no Fast Action Battlers. I'll believe it when I see it. And if we do get FABs, I hope they'll be the same size as Activators and just as good and articulated. The old Fast Action Battlers were quite lame.

Probably part of the movie 1 line or Universe or something, as it was claimed that there would be no FAB for TF2 from what i recall of the Eric Siebenaler interview. (could be recalling incorrectly though)

I thought the FAB Brawl and Blackout were okay, the rest were a bit lacking. If they return, I'd like to see some improved articulation. Scout class figures and Activators have proven you can have figures with both easy transformations and good articulation.:thumbs2:

But it's always nice to have a new Megs toy and a new tank TF. Two birds with one stone=win!

Actually, Activators are smaller that Fast Action Battlers. They are two different lines, but they have the same gimmick: transforming with spring loaded assistance.

The interview said that there would be no Activator figures for TF2. An earlier report stated that there would be 64 figures total for the main TF2 line, counting Fast Action Battlers.

Brawl was pretty decent. I also liked Fast Action Battler Frenzy. :)  They were the only two I bought, on sale. :lol
