I don't know if this show is in the States...but I just watched it. Although I'm a fan of the Silver Surfer, I found the film...so-so. One thing I got to give credit is that the flim really showed how powerful the Surfer was. Fans of Galactus will be disappointed though...hopefully the show has been released in the States so er, there will be more discussion on it.

i'm still decided...FF was super crappy...only watched it (the DVD) for Jessica Alba.

i'll have to wait and see what people think...if its like the first one, i'll wait for the DVD (just for Jessica again)...but its good enough, i might go see it (matinée show only though)

I am going to see the movie for sure and not just for Alba. I like the first movie despite its many faults and I hope there'll be another sequel after this so I am going to support it at the BO.

Yeah, I've read some reviews and it's not sounding too good for FF2.

I thought the first one was decent, but could have been much, much better.

I guess they will need to make some significant changes to make the third one. Nothing against Micheal Chiklis, but I would still love to see a CG thing. He needs to be bigger and rockier, not rubberier. ...and a brow. He needs to have a brow.

I plan on seeing it because I like the comic book genre of films, and it actually looks entertaining. I only saw the first movie once and if netflix would ever change its status from short wait to now, I'd see it again before seeing the second.

I didn't watch the first one so its hard for me to compare...the only reason why I watched this was solely for the Surfer. A small spoiler - the producers changed the "source of his powers" in such a way that it enable him to be defeated.

I just hope Galactus isn't a cloud like all the rumors were saying. That would be awful.

    Yeah, what's up with Galactus?

Good or bad, must see it to see the Silver Surfer in action on the big screen, that alone sounds worth the admission

Supposedly that's true. But LigerPrime could confirm or deny that in a single post.

I'm so-so on the issue of Galactus.

If the cloud thing is true... how exactly is a giant storm cloud vaporizing planets any more or less ridiculous than a massive human-shaped life form with purple horns and blue armor EATING planets???

I'm looking forward to this. I actually didn't mind the first movie. I'm just a little disappointed they changed the voice of the Surfer. The original voice was actually pretty good.

From the commercials I've seen, the cloud definitely appears to have SOMETHING in it. It almost appears to have mandibles coming out from the centre.

The comic book version of Galactus would look ridiculous on screen. it's not really a question of plausability in a comic book movie about heroes who get powers from things that would actually kill them in real life, it's about how good things will look onscreen. Galactus would look awful, in his classic incarnation.

I always thought the concept of Galacticus as this HUGE humanoid in a goofy suit and hat that goes through space and eats planets was way beyond stupid and campy.

At least a travelling cloud of death is plausible.

Just so you know. Galactus doesn't actually look like that. In the comics, it's explained that he looks different to all those who see him. Basically, he's so great that it's the only way to comprehend his appearance.

I went to a matinee for Ocean's 13 today. Right out of the box, the 20th Century Fox logo with the trumpets came on, then the flapping page Marvel logo. I realized that somebody f'd up big time and nearly shit my pants at my good fortune.

Then the lazy ass projectionist woke up and changed it out.

    And I was pissed.

But Ocean's Thirteen was pretty good. Lots better than 12.

And Ellen Barkin is super Milfcougarlicious.
