so I rewatched fantastic four and rise of the silver surfer, I really liked them, too bad a third and fourth weren't able to be made. I read that a reboot of the franchise was going to happen in 2014, what do you guys think? I don't mind the idea of a reboot but so long as it can be viewed as a sequel to the first 2

As long as Mr Fantastic can't stretch his body to cover the entire earth, I'll be all game.

Isn't the the reboot supposed to be being done by the guy who did Cronicle or was that just a rumour? If true, I'm very ok with that.

Never was a big fan of the first two and I can't imagine what they could do as far as a reboot goes. it's not like Spidey where there's a crapload of villains to pick from that can easily be intertwined with his origin. As we get closer to release I may change my mind but right now I think they should leave this franchise alone.

They basically have to do it or Marvel gets the rights back, so it could be good or bad.

I really wish Disney could get those rights back. I'd love seeing the FF in the Avengers universe.

As for the Fox movies, the first one was meh, but the second was awful. They ruined Galactus. They should do the Mole Man in the reboot seeing as that was one of the first villains they faced.

The first 2 were good, minus jessica alba, good to look at, terrible to watch...I heard that Thing will be CGI like Hulk...They will have to replace Torch...everybody else was good in their role...

I liked the first movie. Yeah, I didn't like Doctor Doom being on the ship with them, but, other than that, I can watch it again. The second one was good, IMO, UNTIL they showed Galactus. He's a a frakking cloud? Any reboot should be done to fit in with the Avengers movies.

Alba wasn't entirely to blame though. The director was an idiot. He'd piss her off by telling to not show emotion b/c they'd CG tears in post instead of just letting her act a scene out.

I liked the first movie and I thought the second one was decent until the ending. I do think a reboot is necessary though. I think the biggest hurdles for the reboot are choosing a villain, finding the right tone, and getting a good cast. One thing I will miss from the other two movies is Chris Evans as Johnny Storm. He stole the show and made both movies more watchable than they should have been. He was a great choice for the role.

I loved the first one! The 2nd wasn't horrible. But I don't think they need a reboot. They just need a new Johnny Storm.
