Wow... I was unaware they had worked on Blaster! I'll add him to the list. Thanks!
If you want to get technical, FT-05 Soar was 2 releases, the toon version and toy version (FT-05T).
Good catch - updated!
Maybe list the alt grinder heads as well. Not a standalone figure, obviously, but still something they released.
I added some more, including the ToyDojo Gray Quakewave.
The promo video for Gray Quakewave was pretty good... how was it only viewed 341 times?!?!?!
Good luck man, I tried to keep track I missed some of the X,D,G and just got around the time as close as I could. TCP has a calender I would use, mostly all of the release dates are baseD off when they or CP received FT products, second runs and reissues.
If you are going to list it as "not abandoned" I would suggest adding the date on the video which is 3 and a half years old now. There hasn't been any news since. I just think it should be clear there is no indication of it happening "soon".
I don't disagree - I added the date of the video (interview) as of 6/30/2014.
I honestly don't know what's coming "soon"... we've been told Arcee is next, Blitzwing... and at some point I'm hoping to get my FT-08X head. After those three I don't believe FansToys has stated what's next on their agenda.
It's incredible to see that uplift in production year on year. Tesla was only 2 and a half years ago, wow...
WOOT!! I just got an email from The Chosen Prime that my FT-08X head is here.
I've moved that upgrade part to the long list of released items in 2017.
Thank you @dalianjj
Great list. Is it definite that FT Optimus Prime isn't happening?
To my knowledge Dalianjj has never made a comment about Optimus Prime, except to say that the teased images were not from FansToys. I'm definitely not an insider and I don't know anything other than what Dalianjj has shared.
If I had to guess, however, I think it would be unlikely that FansToys would do an Optimus Prime, unless they were able to improve on the existing figure, utilizing a different transformation.
I've also seen a couple of comments related to ensuring that FansToys transformations are unique to FansToys
The big gripe that FansToys had against Cloud9 Quakeblast is that they re-tooled Quakewave and effectively stole the transformation FansToys had developed.
FansToys delayed Grinder and I believe they said that they changed the figure because the original Grinder design was too close to MP-08
We've seen announcements from other companies (like 3rd party Trailbreaker) where FansToys has quickly released images of their own design - even if it won't be released for a while. Most people assume that FansToys does this to slow sales for competitors, but I'm under the impression that they're doing it to show the world that they already have a developed design to prevent claims that FansToys has copied any other designer.
I wish I had more answers and less speculation!
I hope FT does a Blurr and an Ultra Magnus so I don't have to settle for Takara versions to stand with the rest of my Fans Toys movie characters.
Dalianjj alluded to a FansToys Blurr recently! FansToys FT-22 Koot (Masterpiece Kup)
Yay! Cool, I see it at the end of your list now. That's good news!
The head is super cool. I goofed and forgot to complete my order with TCP. All this time I thought I had placed it. Damn. So I had to pony up some more money and go to A3&UP and it got her the other day. Pretty sweet mod for Grinder X.
@dalianjj stated a while back that it is in the works.
After the recalibration of the MP line I think it is time for a v3 Optimus Prime. And I think that there are quite a few potential customers. Personally I've never liked MP10 that much. His chunky legs, the gorilla arms, the annoying hands and the anime head deviate very much from his toon appearance. Also his feet are a bit weak. At least lookwise MP01 does some things better. Unfortunately MP10 is the benchmark for all official and 3P MP figures that followed, so v3 Optimus should have the same height. But FT (or any other capable company) wouldn't need to design a new trailer and just make their figure compatible with the old one.
So we have:
Most of these should theoretically be out in 2018
Separate names with a comma.
