They need to release a version with a hole in the chest.

That isn't a bad design. A little heavy on the feet maybe (I always think Brawn should be top-heavy like an old fashioned weight-lifter) maybe, but not bad. I'll pass on this for Brawn as I've got Brawny, but I'll definitely be interested if they stick out an Outback varient.

Outback is underrated. Totally down for an FT Outback if they can improve the design.

I want to like this. It's close. I am noticing a trend with FT's designs having those crotch panels. They are not necessary. Look at Badcubes Brawny. Just trim a bit more off those panels and get rid of the hinges. It will look more accurate. The split in the leg also needs to be corrected some how. The knees are also very gappy when bent. I still like Badcube's vehicle mode more. It's smooth and real world, but can still fit in with the toon looking stuff. All that said, I am highly interested in this project.

Gappy knees are unsightly. Not sure what they can do about then but Ben interested to see.
However, most of us vastly prefer a figure to have separately articulated hip flaps. The alternative is either one big flap at the front which looks really off when posing (FansToys Blurr has this) or no hip skirt/flap at all, in which case the thigh sockets and joints are often exposed.
I really dig that they’ve given this guy split hip skirts. It should be standard in a lot of if not most MP’s.
If you’re talking about the split in the foot, I honestly doubt it will be all that noticeable once they give his legs a nice deep green. Gaps and panel lines are a lot more visible in grey prototypes. Once you get colour on them, especially darker colours, they often fade out of sight.

This may have happy knees when bent, but based on the comparison pics, Brawny has gappy knees when they're straight.

Brawny is nice, but I had issues with his chest tabbing in correctly. I will be ordering the FT version and if he proves to be better in comparison IMHO, then Brawny will go up for grabs. My two cents.

Someone Shapeways a fix for the knees, STAT!

Also, if you Photoshopped the new B's legs onto Brawny, he may be perfect. Sans knee issue.

I know people are concerned with the knees and I see your point. From my perspective, he looks pretty good. Brawny, IMHO, was by no stretch perfect. He felt kinda cheap when I first got him and his leg flaps don't exactly look like the toon pic. Suffice to say, they both have their merits and it's up to the collector who is going to spend his/her money to decide which to keep, if that, or perhaps keep both. My take. cheers to all:D  ,

I think I figured out what bothers me about this design. It is the chest. Brawn’s Chest is really pumped up and bulging, FT’s is streamlined and slim. I think that’s what makes him look lanky here, where the toon chest makes him look stocky.

The newer head sculpt is much better. The knees leave something to be desired, but the BC knees have this sliding cover design that is only a little bit better.

Damn...every time FT releases a new figure, I wish they were announcing an update to MP Bee and the failed Cliffjumper designs. Come on FT!
