Damn, I was ready to pick up Hanzo with part of my Christmas bonus this year but now I'm starting to lean towards Hydra.

The answer to your question is clearly quoted in the post of mine that you quoted...
Look back at it and you will see who was trashing Hydra over Hanzo. I was replying to him.

And that is fine for me actually, I got it for the Robot mode, but the thing is, many were having issues with their FT Kickback breaking, and i transformed mine alot of times and no breakage or weakening. Also, there may potentially be a screw that re-tightens it back to normal, which alot of the FT figures have.

You and me both man, but that really freaking sucks for the other 99% of collectors that actually transform their stuff. :(

Absolutely. We need to get back to basics and get Skullcruncher out with his two buds, that guy is nailed on to be old skool FT and not the wonky recent one.

Yep some folks only buy Transformer figures to display in bot mode, and that's fine. Whatever floats a person's boat. It's their money and their figure.
I personally feel I'd get less than half of the value and fun out of my transformers if I never transformed them, and with Sixshot if I never transformed him I'd feel I got 1/6th of the value out of him.
I also sometimes wonder why people are even into transformers figures if they can't transform them without breaking them so often that they just don't try anymore. Seems that would be a clear sign that a figure line just isn't for them, but I do understand if some folks love a character and want a good representation of them to display.

When it comes to people who say they don't even care much for a character and will never transform the figure, but are buying it to fill the character slot in their display anyway, I think maybe they have a lot more money to blow than I do.

But anyway, it seems pretty common these days for people to buy a Transformer and never transform it, going by what I hear in the forums here and how often I see people selling their Transformers with "Has never been transformed" in the descriptions.

Yes... In my case $139.88 * .15 * .07 *.02 *.01 (and any cash back from my Credit Card).
^^ Ebay + baba Discount (when you buy another item of any type from him) + Ebates + Ebay Bucks back + Credit Card Cash Back.
    It was a sweet haul.
Local vendors do have the advantage of getting their stock first... though. So if you go local, you will have yours immediately. For this around 25% discount, I can wait in this case.
I'll go over seas with something like Fans Toys where the problems with QC are minimal.

Cool man! Don't realize ebay offers 2% on toy and hobbies again! Sweet!

I would say anywhere between $100-$110 is a good deal anyway. You can't always get the lowest but price around this range is sweet enough.
