You know this is good when I'm thinking of getting this over willis
Hmmmmmmmm... Willis looks f'ing fantastic though. With this one, you might always like the xtb version later, but I haven't heard of another round of Hound wars lol
Skipping past all previous discussion in this thread and admitting that it's likely already been brought up.
I have finally gotten around to playing with mine. My only complaint of the bot mode is the gross oversight of the hip articulation clearance.
That's rookie level nonsense right there.
Looking forward to someone pointing out that the straight out of package isn't fully transformed and that I need simple do [whatever] to correct the matter.
'Til then though, shame FT, fix that shit.
I don't like xts seazpray too much. Ofc this is new and Willis will dry up soon. And I can't be stuck with the version
Not sure exactly what you're trying to do, but... are you using the upper thigh swivel?
Might be able to get Willis used and then wait for XTB Seaspray to be released when some people might sell the FT *shrug*
You may also miss out on the ATP missile adapter if you wait too long. Something else to consider.
Right, mine can do all this too. But the lower hip rubs the upper thigh. Shaving a half mill off the hip or putting a radius in there to allow clearance but keep the front's appearance would've only helped. And left plenty of recess for the peg/slot mate on the side of the hip.
Yeah, I can see that. A lil rub never hurt anybody It doesn't seem to push/stress the pin though, which I'd be worried about. Think of it like having an extra friction point to save the hips lol
No, I'd rather call it what it is, bad designing overlooked and easily fixed by the manufacturer.
Don't get me wrong, I like the figure and am glad to own it. But I won't see a need to ignore or rationalize laziness on FansToys part.
Especially FansToys. They want to be the best, things like this shouldn't happen.
Especially when a fix is a little more than a retooled replacement part away.
You know it's funny, things like those ATP parts are such a small thing but then you add it to say Willis or Sphinx and you're just like "Damn that is a world of difference!". I always try and grab those if they're reasonable in price if they even remotely interest me.
What do they do
The ATP parts? The Sphinx one moves the shoulder launcher further away from his head and provides additional up and down plus left and right movement. The Hound one is similar. It's not just the movement though, it's how it makes the part sit on the body just looks more "right" than factory stock ones.
His vinyl decals for Downbeat give him blue headlights and JUST the right amount of trim that again make you go "Damn...such a little thing but just what it needed!"
Stuff like that.
They move the missile away from the head so they can both move freely, and usually gives the missile more posability as well.
I was excited to finally get this little guy in hand, but I never realized he was the newest member of FT's Dibots! This is what's printed on the back of the card insert:
You've never heard of the naviculamautempulvinuscaelisaur also known as the hoversaurus?
Am i the only one that thinks that this is what a hausi masterpiece seaspray wouldve looked like.
lol that makes this toy even better.
or is it what it actually looks like
don't tell the official only boys hasui works for ft now
They didnt like hausi since he didnt make them toon enough, in a line that was never about toon accurate mps.
Hausi was downgraded to chug sadly
FT Seaspray does not look like Seaspray.
No matter who designed it.
