Yes, I didn't mean to imply that they *would* fix the design - I was just having a laugh at the justification of not doing so being so people wouldn't complain.
It would be great if they did, though.

I knew that you weren't implying that. :)  It's all good. I liked your post. And yeah, I agree that it would be great if they did. I'm looking forward to the reissues, improved or not. :D

Well, they did make a small change to Phoenix so it's not unheard of.

Didn't the Scoria reissue have the shoulder fix installed?

I know the toy version did.

I wasn't aware of these. So with that, I guess we'll see if anything will be done for reissue Koot.

Yeah. my first instinct is that they won't fix anything, but Phoenix is a good example. I don't own Koot, but reports are that shaving a small bit of plastic makes things a lot easier?
So it may be feasible for FT to do that. I'm hoping for a reissue as I passed on this initially, waiting for XTB's.
But Locke's gonna be a long time, and seeing as how I'm in on FT for Hot Rod, Blurr and Arcee, it makes sense to get the Kup that is designed to match.

I'm sure there will be another reissue after this one before Locke drops.

They didn't fix Scoria's hips either. Instead they issued a new figure.

I beleive a slight change to the moulding for the backpack clip which was supposed to make it clip in place easier/be less prone to breaking.
I know others state that even the original can be transformed without breaking if done in the correct way. Personally I still sanded down that part on my second issue one, just to be safe.
Still, enough people broke that clip that FT obviously felt it warranted adjustment. Whether they will do the same with Koot, where the issue is more of a pain rather than one causing breakages, remains to be seen.

I finally got Koot. While I can see the complaints people had with the toy, nothing ever felt like it would break. The first transformation was intense and I studied the instructions carefully but once was enough. I think he is a good figure. Yes, it isn't perfect and I'm sure TakaraTomy can do it better, but it is great for now.

I've got a Koot on the way, and I'm tempted by this set of stickers, mainly for the tire treads.

Does anyone else out there have it, and would those 3d tire stickers come off during transformation?

Finally decided to pre-order this guy.

I guess my MP G1/198X collection is “complete” now. I’m about done.

Will sprinkle something in from time to time maybe and replace figures where I see fit. I am however absolutely not really looking forward to anymore MP-G1 stuff coming out.

Feels good! Can’t wait to join the Kup train :)

I have them on my MP Hot Rod. They haven't come off yet. I would recommend heating them with a hair dryer while you apply them though. It helps to get them to form to the curve of the tire.

He's up for preorder on BBTS, so I would say yes.
