I buy about 40% of my mps from them and I've never had that problem.

If they don't have it in stock, I'm sure they'll refund your cash.

I'm probably in the minority, but I quite like my MP faces to be metallic, at least for some.

Was gonna go grey with the face, because he almost always had a grey face, white I think was more the akom animation, same as Megs.

If it doesn't look that great when complete, I may repaint it grey instead of metallic.

The thighs were only white in the toon when his face was (which was more often than not the akom animation I believe).

I may be wrong about that, but in the movie they were grey.

Just had a look myself. It seems his face, thighs, shins, necklace disk thing etc are all the same colour whether that it be white or grey.

I'm only going to change the face of those. I'm reqlly tempted to change the feet. Not really a fan of the white, but not confident I could match the colour of the shins. So mine will be silver for face, chrome for neck piece, silver for thighs, grey for legs and white for feet when they're all supposed to be one colour in theory!

Pretty much finished the paint job. Just gotta let a few more bits set for a 5 days or so, then polish and put back together.

    Colour is looking really good.

Had an issue with the chest piece where a bit of paint managed to get on the ab section. I repainted it silver but couldnt sand in the small crevices so it was a bit dirty, and one of the red squares is really misty.

I have a replacement chest on the way, so I'll paint that when it comes.

Other drawback, which I anticipated, is there is slight paint chipping on some moving parts like the finger joints, though the paint is still pretty durable overall.

When its done and I take pics, I'll show those parts too.

I'll try to transform it as well, but if it looks too risky for the paint job, I wont bother.

If you would kindly share what you fid to strip the paint without damaging it, you would spring board my customising efforts.

I used nail polish remover on the diecast bits. Takes a good rub but it eventually stripped all of the paint.

The plastics, I tried the same thing but its hard to tell because the actual plastic is more or less the same colour as the paint.

I mostly just gave the plastics a really good sanding, removing as much paint as possible but more than likely just really roughing a lot of the paint.

The blue paint still seems just as durable on the plastics as the fully stripped diecast.

Cool. Just be careful with nail polish remover. It’s usually Acetone which eats through plastic as easily as it eats through paint. It’s fine on diecast of course but steer clear of it on plastics. @MajinSin had the right idea. Just sand it clean/off. You can also try Isopropyl alcohol but it’s not that effective on factory applied paint.

Oh, that's good to know for future reference. I was lucky mine didn't get damaged as I only stopped because it wasn't working too well. Although that might explain why the primer struggled to stick to a particular spot I tried it on initially.

Sooooo I got this guy last week. Really liking him, however his knees look like the top ratchet should extend one more click to be completely straight but they can't quite make that last ratchet. Is this a common occurrence?

    Few chips here and there.

Fairly confident I could transform him (painted the alt mode parts as well) but don't think I'll risk it.

I'll def paint a fresh chest when it arrives and touch up 2 littke chipped parts on his waist (lifting the hip skirt chipped the corners).

That aside, VERY happy with how he turned out! I love the figure twice as much now. I really couldn't stand the contrast in colours between him and Quietus. Now its perfect (for me).

I'll never understand the Dark Blue. He's just not that color IMO.

The paint job looks nice though. :)

Mine sometimes has this issue. Sometimes it has a hard time making the last ratchet, but if I bend the joint again and try to straighten it out in one full movement it'll usually straighten out.

Thanks! He always looked dark blue on my vhs copy of the movie. That's the copy I watched for 30 odd years and the one that sticks with me.

I wanted this blue with a bit of purple sort of colour but the one I used was the closest I could get.

To my eyes, no matter what copy I watch, he always seemed more blue than Cyclonus. Getting Quietus, who was much more blue than Sovereigns very season 3 purple was what made me change it.
