Quakewave was actually the FIRST 3rd Party MP style/scale release ever made into retail production. FT-01 was actually a longer/more "accurate" trailer for MP-01 either before or after MP-04 came out...can't remember.

FT-02 is their canceled MP Soundwave. So incase anyone was wondering...yes FT has been around for a while, and their first 2 releases were never sold at retail stores, with their 2nd being canceled right of the bat due to MP-13.

IIRC dalianjj was also posting stuff on here about an Ultra Magnus upgrade armor for MP-01...never got past prototype stage though.

 

doubt it quakewave shot up in price because there was no alternative , there's another 3rd party mp galvatron and xtb's is on the way also the odds are high that we will get a tt galvatron in the not so distant future

 

Was hoping to have received a replacement arm from customer service by now... Thus far, no dice. I know that people said it takes a very long time, so I guess I will just have to continue to be patient. (I hope...)

 

One could argue that xtb Glider was the first 3P mp figure. It looks more like toon Powerglide than Quakewave looks like toon Shockwave. Glider's box design also looked like it was made to invoke official mp boxes.

He's got hollow forearms, but so does mp Bumblebee. The main issue with it, is that it's not high quality.

Technically, Quakeblast was the first nail in the eBay scalpers' coffin.

 

Not to mention that FT Blaster was put on hold till after all the FT Dinos + their repaints and FT Phoenix (Skyfire) are released.

 

Lets be honest now... there isn't much effort in comparing DX9 and FT Galvatrons. ^^. I like DX9's .. I have one I modded to be 12" tall to stand with Mp-1 and my other "giant masterpieces", but DX9's fails on levels of look, builds, design and QC.

Still thinking XTB Galvatron is going to be on the back burner for a bit while the Sovereign fires calm. I look forward to XTB though just for the different take / design.
However "topping" Sovereign on many levels (Movie Match, Build, Quality, Design, etc) makes me think would be a superb task and thus supply and demand will eventually kick in , upping the price.
For what you "get" with Soveriegn, is worth the current price with room for higher price down the road unless something equal or better comes along.

my point being people know xtb's is on the way and those people prefer what we have seen so far albiet just the one render , some still prefer dx9's and others will be playing the long game and waiting on takara with all that in mind the prices for ft's will hit nowhere near quakewave .... i love my soverign so know i won't grab xtb's and takara would really need to make something special for me to swap out for an official

I just ordered one of these on eBay, so expect a flash sale in a couple days.

 

Mine took a few months. What comes, if you snapped the arm off like me, is the joint that connects the shoulder to the body. You can open up the shoulder (couple of screws underneath that screw cover) and replace the joint. To attach the arm to the body, slide down that piece on his side, then lift it up so you can get at the screw hole. On this side, you can put the screw, spring, and washer. On the other side, you can insert the peg sticking out of the shoulder.

 

I have one and if you can get a good price on him I'd say you won't be disappointed.

Ooh, I am interested in an FT Blaster if that's still on the cards.

 

gutted after I finally opened my Sovereign from Netclow on ebay and I saw his left hip piece completely missing
