Mhhh...honestly I like most of the other FT releases much more than this guy, even Tesla. I had Gundog before and Willis is definitely closer to what I want an MP Hound to be like. But I'm still not 100% satisfied with the faces and his feet. He hasn't grown on me all that much over the last years. I really liked Classics Hound and think that the TT toon style would work very well on this character. So I think I would replace Willis with an official figure. But that's just me.

 

If a reissue comes I'd try a new copy.

 

I am very happy with the Willis that I got earlier this year. Legs and feet are fine. I went with the silver face as it matched the other places that were also silver and that looked white in the animation.

The repros give him some extra flair.



Ignore that back corner that is lifting up. That was my fault in not evening it out during transformation.

Big fan of Willis, the announcement of an Official MP means nothing to me.

With the official line's move to 'Toon styling, Beast Wars and now slowing due to Movie Masterpieces, official MP is essentially dead to me anyway.

As much I like Willis, I bet Takara would come up with a more clever way integrate his shoulder cannon and the jeep gun.

 

Looks like they forgot to raise the fenders and fully extend the hands on that shot. They must have taken it right out of the box and not cleaned him up first.

Fanstoys usually supplies their figures with limbs and other parts compressed for packaging reasons

 

That thread is full of hearsay and garbage. TB77 has been predicting hound from TT for years. I don't think it will have any influence on any plans FT is making.

Pretty sure Taobao was first place we heard. Iirc Hound was mentioned at the same time but my memory is a little hazy.

 

It's true, he's right about 50% of the time, but I wouldn't take his word as what to expect in the future. TT hound may or may not still happen. It could be possible that TT is holding off because of the FT release being so good, lol. I think that whole argument of TT not caring what the 3Ps are doing is bunk.

Not saying he's right, but the part about the G1 MP line slowing down because of the focus on movie MP's sounds about right. And pisses me off.

 

Couldn't care less. They jumped the shark a long time ago. The 3Ps have been kicking their butt up and down the street. Sovereign/willis/phoenix are better than anything TT has put out in the MP line in years.
