FansToys appear to have marked 2017 on their calendar as the year they plan to take over the scene. That’s not to say that companies like MakeToys, FansHobby and Mastermind Creations etc are not doing enough to compete for your money, but FT have pumped out quality new mould after quality new mould so far this year. We’ve had an amazing run of FT-16 Sovereign, FT-08 Grinder and now FT-10 Phoenix. Oh, have I given the game away a bit there with regards to what I think of Phoenix? Well, if you ever come across me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or TFW2005, you’ll already know how highly I rate this Masterpiece-scale faction-and-IP-swapping behemoth. It’s Phoenix, he’s in the sky, and he’s definitely on fire.

That's just difficult to rationalise. Stomp is already a big mother and that MONSTER is leaning and petting it. Jesus Christ. In a good way.

This looks like an amazing figure but I honestly feel like it's just too damn big.

Geez, he's massive. How heavy is he gonna be?

I want him, but I have no idea where to I'd put him. He'd Ave to sit next to Devastator.

Exactly my reasoning for passing. I would have liked star sabre / magnus height. This just doesn't fit any where :/

Well hold on, now. Sky Fire was massive compared to the other bots in the cartoon. If we're going for show accuracy, or even comic accuracy, he has to be a tall drink of water.

This figure is just awesome, finally a representation of the Transformers Holy Grail. The height is right, Skyfire is taller than the other Transformers in G1.

I've bought a few different FT figures to date and aside from Quakewave none of them (Willis, Spotter, Lupus) and none of them have really jived with me well until now. This guy is just plain majestic. The heft of it is nice, it feels solid, has a complex but intuitive and fun transformation. It isn't without some quirks and things like the lack of waist swivel hurt but I still can not recommend this guy enough if you're a fan of the cartoon.

These Skyfires are just too darned big. I know the character is massive, but that doesn't mean I want a figure that can be measured in feet and inches.

Someone undersize this to Voyager / Leader size and I'll be happy.
