Just thought I would give a few of my first impressions on this one. This is my first Fanstoys figure after all.

Pretty impressed to be honest, it is a good figure for the most part. Box is a lot smaller than I thought it would be and is of course packed with the Styrofoam for tons of protection.


The figure is solid and does have squeaky hips but that is not too big a deal. For some reason they did leave the legs with that odd looking chrome bit but it is not too ugly.


The head is great, I have to say. I really like the stoic, heroic look of this headsculpt and this guy will pose great as a lone figure watching over other guys.


Overall, i have to say I like this. I reluctantly have to admit that this does feel like a $200 fairly well spent.

 

That is possibly the best head I've seen on a Fans Toys product.

 

This is what I love about 3RD Party figures. You get exactly the same product, colored in exactly the same way as the initial images. Lost count of how many times I see a production shot of a Hasbro offering, painted to perfection, only to receive a substandard version of that toy with color runs and imperfections. Don't see this in your images of Jetfire.

 

I do love good head.

 

As I said, I don't own any other FT items but with all the complaints about the head in the thread I was super surprised to see how good the head actually is. From many of the photos of other TF figures, their faces are pretty laughable and the ones I have seen in person have been pretty bad.

This one seems just right for the figure and for how it posses and feels in hand.

 

Anybody have an idea when TCP will ship?

 

As soon as they get it in, I'd imagine. They're pretty good about same day turnaround for pre-orders in my experience.

 

Woohoo - finally in hand pics! I'm more giddy about this figure than I have been any figure since... Oh, probably MP Ultra Magnus.

 

I'm giddy as a school girl ... my battle plan is to let Phoenix lead the way in the wife wars, then after she's been sufficiently worn down by Phoenix's awesomeness, bam! - hit her with that FT not-Omega ... and then finish her resolve with a blast of Legends Trypticon ... guess I better start gettin' those divorce papers ready!  

 

I have a request: is anybody able to take side-by-side pics of Phoenix & MAS-01 Optimus, please?

Your first Fanstoys toy. I hope this holds a special nostalgic feeling for you in time as my G1 Jetfire did for me many years ago. Fanstoys is top notch qc and their figures are 8, 9 and 10s on the scale IMO.

I love how FT Skyfire can come in a small box but TT seeker boxes have to take all my shelf space.

 

shame its still there ... but not the end of the world still looks shit hot

 

Hopefully Skyfire will be in my grubby little paws by the end of next week! Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait!
