The only time I'm aware of him mentioning it was in this thread when he asked for a pic of the turquoise one and wanted to know which one people preferred. This was prior to the release of any version of Grinder (I believe), so I suspect it was at a time when they still could have tweaked the G2 color. IIRC, more people responded that they prefer the darker blue.

Are those regional releases? Or did they really just make two G2 Grimlocks?

There was a blue and turquoise/teal G2 Grimlock, a green and red G2 Slag, and a green and red G2 Snarl.

The teal/turquoise Grimlock, red Slag, and green Snarl had much more limited numbers than the blue Grimmy, red Snarl, and green Slag had.

They actually made 3 G2 Grimlocks. They weren't regional. First run was silver, then they did a turquoise one. Blue was the last one.

I feel shamed for having left out the regular G1 colored Dinobots from the list. :lol

Lol. I believe they're the rarest of the different G2 colors, so it's completely understandable.

The sad part is that these came out right around the time I got married to my first wife, and I saw every version of those G2 Dinobots in different stores, and couldn't even buy one of them. That turquoise/teal Grimlock was the one I wanted most, and to this day I still want him. I keep hoping that at least one of these freaking 3rd party companies will release their Grimmy in that color, but of course it hasn't happened yet. :(

I got my blue one from him as well. Looks magnificent in person.
Don't forget to pick up the v2 blue dino head.....picked mine up from Toy Dojo since I didn't feel like waiting 2 weeks for an accessory.

I don't think I've seen the silver one.

Was he the only G2 bot that got multiple repaints?

Silver one was the same as the G1. They basically just rereleased the G1 version with the G2 logo and the word "Autobot" oin the dino butt/robot leg.

Man, that's so dumb. He doesn't have any wheels, he's a Dinobot! Seriously though, it's funny that they felt the need to put it in writing on him even though he had a faction symbol. I guess they couldn't be any more clear about his affiliation than that though.

I thought they did it with all three G2 guys, but could be wrong. But, yeah, pretty dumb. And makes the faction tampo redundant.
