There was a picture collage of fans and their collections posted on FB or Hasbro site. Some of those fans actually had 3rd Party figures with them in the pics.

I'm not sure if Hasbro/TT can really go after FansToys, so much as the retailers. That's not good for F/T either, but if the demand is there, I suspect they'll find an outlet for selling their figures.

Anyone care to hazard a guess on why Kapow in particular was singled out with the C&D?

 

@Pitt just wanted to give you an update. I transformed all my Dino X into dino mode last night, and actually, grinder X silver chrome is more blue than the rest, it becomes noticeable anyways.

 

Me Grimlock say two heads better than one. I think...

 

What's worse is that Kapow has been telling their customers on their Facebook page that the stock was stuck in customs!

Is TF-Direct the best place to get a Grinder head now?

 

I got mine as pictured above on eBay from wuhanlipu. Took a while but was only 20 shipped. Still in stock as of moments ago.

 

He doesnt seem to have anything for sale at the moment.

The bulk are with customs and will stay there sadly until they get sent back or destroyed, as upsetting as it is no business is able to go against a notice from their wholesaler to cease and desist on any product unless you want trouble.

 

Ah, I see. Oh well. Kapow also seem to have stopped people posting on their Facebook page at present, both comments and questions. Strange.

 

You should find that is a Facebook standard change for business pages, comments will be allowed on actual posts made to the business page, you will find comments can be left on all and any posts made by the company themselves.

 

Well that sucks. Especially because I just bought him during the recent flash sale. But oh well. I'm sure I won't be disappointed. And slowly I'm creeping toward having two different sets of Dibots. Thanks for following up.  

 

I should also add he shipped the head encased in thick styrofoam. So no damage. I was a. It worried it would be tossed in an envelope but no sir.

I was getting worried it was taking so long to ship and I messaged him to look into it for me. He actually offered to refund my money if I paid him back if it showed up. Fortunately no worries and it's here w in the expected date. Ordered on 9/1. Arrived 9/23.

My question exactly. No other sellers or retailers seem to have been affected. I hope this isn't what's holding up the Grinder X and Grinder G heads.
I also hope this doesn't discourage FT from moving forward with MPs that Takara/Hasbro is or are doing. We need Hoodlum. Plus I'd love to see FT give us a properly done MP Tracks.

 

This was my first thought as well. I would think (hope?) FT would have given other retailers a heads up if that was the case.

 

Whoa whoa whoa, I can't believe Kapow got hit with a cease and desist. Maybe Takara/Hasbro should get off their butts and give us an updated Grimlock, so people wouldn't have to resort to using 3p to get a decent Grimlock for their collection.

The new head looks magnificent though, and really completes the figure.
