It’s crazy how hard it is to find

 

Yeah it's pretty much non-existent at this point. I was on the late train in getting one but lucked up in the end.

 

Patience is the name of the game when it comes to collecting. I saw one on eBay that sold just a few days ago and for less than market value. I have saved that search for now. He will eventually pop up. It’s inevitable because people sell for different reasons. Some need the cash for more important things in life. Yes it is is true. There are more important things than toys. LOFL.  
And some collectors get bored and sell things because something newer and even cooler comes out. I’ll bet there are a few out there that bought one and are just sitting on it and waiting for the right time to sell and make some big bank like during the holidays.

 

IMHO, collecting is almost like a drug. Well at least a healthy one, but it’s bad for the pocket book. LOFL. There is more thrill in the search for a hard to find item and then there is a feeling of euphoria once you have secured something and you get to open it. And once that high subsides you get that urge to buy something again. And that is sort of why you will see once hard to find things eventually go up for grabs because people get bored and want the next best thing on the market. I would not doubt it if Fanstoys is already looking into other variations of the iron dibots because of the success they have seen and the demand that has been generated. They would be silly not to. Just a hunch.

The guy who bought it reached out to me if I had found one. Even Brandon Weik of the chosen prime hasn’t been able to find me one. He thought for sure at TFcon but no luck

I'm way late to the collecting game again and finding it impossibly hard to find Toyworld Bulldozer and Unearth, and FT Soar to complete my Devastator and Dinos.

 

Ft soar is gettiing reissued. Check tcp and td.

 

Is it just the lighting or do some parts like Grimlock's T-Rex arms have a blue tint in the X version?

 

I'm debating to display these guys in Dino mode but I'm a little tight on display space right now. Anyone else's display in Dino mode only?

 

I do on these guys, but since Cesium is out now, I’m willing to display them in bot mode too. Scoria is horrible in Dino mode but even worse in bot mode. That’s why I never did.

 

Some of the parts do have a blue tint. It is also noticeable on red and blue Soar X's clear wings.

 

I was just looking at my variant iron diobot shelf.. thinking if I needed room, those guys might have to move out. But at no point did I consider selling stompx. That's just silly. I was going to find him another place to live.

All the traditionally silver chrome pieces have a blue tint to them on all the X versions. Grinder's teeth, arms, and tail in alt mode, Stomp's "wings" in bot mode and tail in alt mode, Soar's wings, etc. The only one who doesn't have that is sever because he lacks any silver chromed parts.

 

It'll help if you use Soar's stand. I tried in my cabinet but they all end up looking sideways because the shelf is too shallow.
