    FP Bruticus

Just finished acquiring the pieces to complete my fp bruticus, and after I put it all together, I can't say I didn't feel disappointed. I felt the figures were finicky to transform and bruticus, while nice looking, seems to just be missing something. Dunno how to explain it. Maybe the monster price tag helps create the letdown. If the figure was 20 bucks maybe I'd be marking out ..

IMO this is one of the most well proportioned, posable and downright imposing figures ever created using 3rd party add-ons (although this particular set uses far more than that!). Luckily I managed to put mine together at a very reasonable cost so I was nothing but delighted with Bruticus once he was all put together.

    Ebay:
I got my ROTF Brute Max for $16, and got the 2 scout sets at $50 each. So at less than $120, the set is epic.

"If it was $20.." Dude check the feedback thread, seriously.

Can't wait for the Spoonman chest shield. He will no doubt nail that sucker.

Yea. I think if u purchased it, you'd deinfitely not regret it... and, if you think about it: Realistically, you're getting 7 figures for it all.

Not sure how checking the feedback thread would change the price of my bruticus to 20 bucks. Wish it did. I was merely hypothesizing that if he was the same price point as a voyager or ultra my opinion might be different on him

That is definitely an interesting way to look at it... I'll probably eventually fold on it cuz it looks so damn good.

Laughing at the very idea of getting this guy for $20.

I paid $16 for my ROTF Bruticus set. I paid $55 each for Munitioner and Explorer.

He was easily worth every cent. I own a ton of large figures, but NONE of them have the impact on the shelf that this guy does. He looks incredible, he's got great posability, tons of accessories, and with the way the parts split up you have an insane arsenal for the combaticons themselves.

If you paid double or triple what these guys cost originally, I can see why people might think he's not worth the money. But $20? This guy should cost VOYAGER money? You've got to be kidding. It would be incredible if he did, but no. He's easily worth his original price, and going by the secondary market, he's worth several times his price to quite a lot of people.

These aren't made by HasTak, so they don't cost HasTak prices. FansProject has the cheapest prices of all the 3rd Party companies (though, MakeToys seems intent on taking that title w/ their Giant), so $50 each was actually low.

I'm glad I already had 3/5 of Bruticus Maximus from when he was on shelves during Energon, & that I had the money to get Munitioner & Explorer at launch for $50 each, so I didn't have to pay the insane E-bay prices for anything.

I know people not used to 3rd Party prices will balk at $350 now (it's apparent going price now that they're all sold out), but for the $135 or so I paid over all ($50x2 for Munitioner/ Swindle & Explorer/ Blast Off + $10 shipping + $10 for Barricade/ Onslaught + $7.50x2 for Blackout & Kickback) when XFire 02 A & B were still in stock at TFSource was money well spent.

Knowing the current state of 3rd Party Companies, $20 is like asking for them for free.

Will be buying this guy today after so long. I wish I would have been able to ge them when they first came out. They have both for 200 but they might be worth. Even if Fansproject does another run they will be a 100 bucks anyway. Just wish I could have ROTF Bruticus because I do like the colors a bit better.
