If the rotating part was gone it would leave a big hole in the back of the alt. mode.

Also, these guys don't come with any of the accessories required for combination (missile pods and feet, for example) and these have been more-or-less confirmed as Micromaster homages.

 

Simple retool of the mold would eliminate the need for the rotating part.

They have never been confirmed as micromasters.

Granted the names are similar.

Also, how do you know they don't come with the parts for combination?

I'm going with retool for Battle Gaia. The colors match, and the parts for combining are still on the bots.

If they are just the micromaster homages...I'll still buy em.

I am all for new and original characters. I knew repaints were coming, no surprise there, and I was never gonna combine the 2nd set I was gonna get, but man!! The new head molds and weapons are great! Not only that, but we are getting 5(!!!) new figures for Causality in addition to MOAR Fans Project goodness in 2011!!

So guys, when is Fans Project Con coming? I'd like to sign up and registers.  

 

I'd be up for that Con   I'm surprised that FPJ hasn't put up a message board or somebody put one up for them.

A "simple" retool? Retools are much more complex than making a new accessory that hides the connection point.

And the colors are similar.
And the new heads are similar.
More similar than to the corresponding Battle Gaia figures.

^This! Exactly what I thought when I read heartmaster. It's probably Powermaster Prime but if they decide to make Deszaras or Liokaiser (PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE!!)....well, they can just start docking my wages because I will instantly become a lifetime customer!

 

I'd also like to point out that I won't buy ANY of the Insecticons if Bombshell doesn't have his headcannon! It had BETTER be folded back behind his head. I'm probably in the minority that aren't impressed by the insecticons. Bombshell's claws don't suit him and Shrapnel's pincers look weird pointing the wrong way to me. Kickback looks a bit off to me and I think the reason is because he looks too bulky. I'm sure the end result will be a lot better. I'm just really suprised that this is how they perceive the insecticons. I have a feeling there's a lot more to these guys than what we know and what the silhouettes depict.

Heartmaster sounds interesting but mostly because I can't make heads nor tails of that name.

Heres my take on it, they are making a 7 piece combiner (Causality) made up of all the CAs (CA-01, CA-02, CA-03, CA-04, CA-05, CA-06, CA-07) and that's whay all the bots seem to be the same hieght. As for the cap knowing Fansproject It is probably removable and is there to cover up the combiner port because either they don't need it for the combination (on a 7 piece combiner you can ussually achieve a gesalt without extra parts), They have come up with a new port (One with that shape as the male connector and a hole that shape for the female connector) or just to cover it up so you can have a stand-alone figure because seeing how many members there will be you might not be able to afford them all (What with TFclubs Devs coming out around the same time) and Fansproject dont want people Bawling

Warcry and Flameblast look awesome! I'm unsure if I'll purchase them, as Hasbro's putting out alot of good stuff this year as well, plus if the next Warbot is Broadside I'd spend the cash on it. I'll either buy FP's Insecticons or the HOS ones by Mastermind Creations; still unsure. Having multiple options is usch a great problem to have
