The hasbro one is definitely the stronger chug choice for springer, and that did play into the aftermarket price. Defender also had alot of diecast which caused it to have stability issues as well, I got some shapeways addons for his heels but without them or something to lean on he will shelf dive. Both defender and assaulter have issues and didnt age well like the rest of the warbot line, but all the corebots in the line have a lot of good going for them.

Yeah, I think all of us who joined that club got burned. I couldn't even give that sticker book away.

Still, I look forward to the repaint.

... Stupid MP Sideswipe and his stupid new scale that opened the door to so many more third party purchases. I remember getting Sideswipe and thinking, "Well, guess now I buy a Steelcore and he'll fit in with something I own."

I know I tossed mine. Don't think I'll be joining again regardless.

There was someone here that actually wanted the thing, I sent him a message with intent to just mail it to him and I never heard back. Maybe he changed his mind.

I saw it here in the stacks recently so I'm confident I still have it.

But... a sticker book. I didn't even like those as a kid.

I love the sticker book, but I loved the old TF one from years ago.

I love Steel Core, it was one of the best 3P figures and it was fully original to boot.

I don't think it has aged that well though since is missing essential articulation like wrist swivels but I still dig the mould quite a bit, enough to buy another version of it (as long as is well-priced of course).

I'm easily down for one. Steelcore is still my favorite 3P figure, and I'm sorry I sold mine.

Did we even get all 3 "gifts", All I remember getting is the Brainstorm Headmaster, and OSMI. I Can't recall ever getting the 3rd gift. Was it some sticker book that people are talking about because I never got it.

It just... opens up. If it cost like $30, that would be OK. For an insanely priced accessory, it blows.

In comparison, their own G3 trailer cost $50ish upon release, was much larger, came with Roller, transformed into both stealth (mirrored) mode and battlestation, and came with a bunch of chromed weapons for early CHUG figures.

I've been hunting for a Steelcore on ebay for YEARS now, and a chance to buy this at normal retail would be just the closure I need.

I maybe would've preferred a red color scheme for the full Overload homage but I also have a weakness for caution stripes so... this is still pretty rad.

Looks like it's got armor from the new trailer to combine into a Grimlock-like bot!

Not sure what's going on with the armor parts. But their Facebook says WB009 is Severo Core and WB011 is Construction Core. Made a separate thread for Severo.

    I don't think its armor.
Looks like a recolor and remold in one with new weapons.
I will be surprised if the new trailer forms the additional forearm and shin parts, as that would be a tiny trailer, so it leads me to believe they will just be accessories to differentiate the Severo version.
