The joint would be fine if filed down so it was looser then it wouldn't snap off again when it reached "the tight point".

Fingers crossed that TFCon has some trailers turn up in packaging as a surprise release.

Finally found the perfect fit for a sword for SteelCore, and it was staring me in the face the whole time.
The replacement sword for Drift that came with Battle Tanker.

The blue on the hilt matches well with SC and the aesthetics are spot on.
plus it fits in the slot on his back, along with the green blade, when not in use.

Scales nicely over all, even though it is a bit slim for SC's bulky frame.
I think he pulls it off rather well though.

SC's great articulation makes for some sweet poses, including the "Conan" pose.

TFao, your love for Steelcore and ability to make it look "fresh" after all of this time with your photography is commendable. Great work, man.

Fansproject Steel Core with Ruthen and Osmi

Took some pictures of FansProject's Osmi along with Steel Core and Ruthen. Nothing in depth.

Made a montage of them using BlackBerry's Story Maker.

    Neat little figure.

I'm pleasantly surprised. All those little guys use different molds. Thought they would have been straight repaints, but they are different right down to the head sculpts.

Is he worth the 120-200 dollars?

Hello, I finally managed to get a Steel Core along with a Fansproject City Commander (+Classics Ultra Magnus with add-ons) and Defender at a reasonable price and I'm really loving Steel Core so far.

It has really good articulation and solid details and unlike many other third party figures (Fansproject's included) his overall design is not so blocky and can actually fit in the aesthetics of the Classics line.

I have a question though, does anyone know a good way to implement the little green knife/thing aside from the way how the instructions tell you to do? It seems a bit awkward in the suggested mode, it would also be nice if you could store it anywhere else.

Also, does anyone know of good add-ons/upgrades for this aside from the trailer?

Steel Core here is always tempting me. Shall have to consider buying one at some point, if the budget allows and I find a good price. Also wobbling back and forth about Assaulter.

I'm in the same boat. I love his overall look. I just can't get over his lack of (real) waist articulation.

WELP. Bought a Steelcore off of a fellow user here and the damn thing broke on the first transformation.

Fan-fucking-tastic. I have no idea if this can ever be fixed.

damn that sucks bro, that's the second one posted. I'm super paranoid now, I don't think I will transform mine until I can get a backup....

That sucks! I feel worse for you being that you just got it in hand.

I don't mean to pour salt on an open wound but could you take pics of the actual breakage point? Like where the plastic snapped? Just curious what went wrong and if it might be prevented. Also to see how you might go about fixing it, too.

Already boxed up to be sent back to the seller I'm afraid. If you jump back a page though my break is identical to the one fujikuro had.

Ah, I see. That really does suck. Only the second confirmed breakage, on that critically stiff hinge area, that I can recall.
