    Bah !!!
    I hate prioritising plastic crack.
I had to leave BD Iron man in favour of Mech Test Tony, War Machine and now probably whiplash to :banghead:

Hopefully you will be able to pick it up later (when Hot toys has finished abusing your wallet) or if there is a second release like the City Commander armour.

A proper review of this toy was just what I needed to justify buying it. Excellent.

I have to say the review for Warbot Defender (Springer) was great. Thanks Vangelus you really pointed out what was awesome this figure and the bad parts. Despite the heels and almost breakable sword, I might buy this, but right now I'm going to think about it and if I decide to get them then I get him.

Furthermore, I have to say the FansProject did a sweet ass job. 'nuff said.

Great review, man. While it does look pretty damn nice, I think I'll still pass.

The stand referenced is a Bandai Action Base 1 (the one designed for larger 1/100 models, rather than the smaller Action Base 2).

The moment the first picture loaded, I saw that, knew what it was instantly, and giggled with glee. FansProject is awesome.

Thanks for the great pictorial and video review. :thumb
Warbot Defender defiantly looks great, but I'm still on the fence about him. I just wish they wouldn't had used die-cast on him. Hey maybe if they do another run they would do the next run in all plastic and with a thicker sword :)

Having just finished shooting my review of the figure, I can say that the diecast really isn't an impediment here. It's well done, well balanced, and really doesn't stick out the way you'd expect it to. My only real complaints on the figure are the lack of an autobot symbol (understandable and easily remedied) and the scimitar. It's not bad, and I don't get the feeling that it will break, but it just feels kind of cheap when taken along with the rest of the figure. Overall though, WELL worth the money.

I have no idea how you managed to get one of these before ANYONE else, knowing how things generally go for us up here in Canada, but...

    Thank you.

I've had this guy on Pre-order forever. FansProject stuff is like premium grade crack to me, and I was starting to get the shakes without my fix. I'm also a serious sucker for gunslinger-type robots (You should have seen me when finally snagged Brawn) and it's good to see that Springer embraces that motif to the point of being able to quickdraw.

The only issue I have now is... can I hold out long enough for the Bruticus sets to hit my PoL before shipping to make having used BBTS worthwhile? (Before you mention it, I've never encountered the shipping or customs destruction problem, and I've used BBTS for YEARS)

At any rate, this was an important review, not only for us hopelessly addicted Fansproject fanboys, but moreso for everyone who's on the fence about this. Thank you, good sir.

damn man, i really dig this... though your review kinda has me tempted to wait for a 2nd release in case they fix the heels, or do just a regular plastic version, as i'm not huge on diecast either... but then again, i want him right away and don't want to miss out on him if they don't do a 2nd run... argh... can't make up my mind...
