I've always kind of wanted one, as well as the trailer, but those aftermarket prices, oof.

If FP wants to do something after their Dinobots, they could go back to original figures like this. Or they could do 3P MP, but something tells me they've resisted that since it's what almost every 3P does these days and it's fast becoming a crowded market.

I'd love to see them go back to original type figures. They never produced the "warbugs" (those were original-ish figures that were supposed to be the pre-insect modes of the Causality ninja bots) and I was bummed about that, but I don't think they ever showed off anything else that was an original design.

Also, since we're sharing pictures, my Fansproject family:

    100_4314.JPG

It's not as warbot-y as Kuma Style's, but these are some of my absolute favorites.

(the little guys in front are old Shapeways prints of some figures that @fakebusker83 made several years ago)

I really wanted those Warbugs too. I was going to troop build like crazy with those. Hell, if FP just went and finished some of those early concepts they teased like the Warbugs, Pharoahtron, and Junkion motobike and dont half-ass the production, they could get back the fandom's good graces.

Oh man, I'd forgotten about the Pharaoh bot. That would have been so cool!

Just re-reading through this old thread and I'd forgotten about the fembot that @Venksta had designed for them. There was so much excitement about what they were doing back then!

It's nice to see some of this stuff be a "thing" again. I'n really disappointed that the Warbugs didn't happen as well.

Looks like a typical sell price on eBay has been about $90-100 for just the figure.

I agree. I really wish they'd produce all the figures they appeared to be teasing with the mini models that came with Assaulter. Revolver, Steelcore, and Assaulter are still among my very favorites in my collection. I'd have loved to have seen their take on Whirl, Sandstorm, etc.

Personally I have no use for the trailer. If it became armor or something to that effect, I would've wanted it, but as a storage pack for other little robots I'll never get?

    No thanks.

I like the trailer, the idea of Steelcore towing a troop carrier or something like that. Armor would have been cool but I think it would have made him too "ultra magnusy" for me.

I had hoped after the trailer that we might see a couple other Soleron vehicles or add-ons. Little scout-size mech walkers, armored transport, tank, medical trailer, that sort of thing. There were some signs of that with Trianix Alpha / Dai-Z. And now Takara has started doing that with the Diaclone reboot, but I really think Fansproject was sitting on something that could have spun out to a whole original toyline there and it just sort of stopped before it could really get started.

The trailer completes Steelcore's vehicle mode IMO. Like Optimus and his trailer. Does shit all and usually becomes a space killer when Optimus is in bot mode but hot damn Prime is not complete without his trailer.

Steelcore is 99% fine without it but to me the trailer just makes it 100%

The trailer also comes with guns the mini dudes can hold. I thought that was a nice touch. Gives the little guys some firepower

I use the spare trailers (OP, Steelcore) as risers for my display - really helps put a back row in w/o much fuss

Mine aren't loose at all, though I don't handle it that often.

I need to get another Steel Core. I've outfitted mine with the Renderform Magnum head and it's perfect, but I want another Steel Core with the regular head. :D
