I haven't had the replacement joint break, but I did have the screw in the post get completely stripped when I tried to separate. Similar situation to you where it seemed like it got more difficult over time, but I tried to force it and ruined it. Email FPCore about it roughly a week ago and still no response so I think I'm just going to give up.

Seems to me like the replacement waist doesn't solve much. It's the weak peg design and the overly-tight socket design that are causing the problem.

I saw your picture, ein, that sucks. :(  It looks like you need the whole waist assembly replaced, not just the joint.

I am with others in wondering why, with so many other examples of designs that could be used for this connection, they went with this one. I really like this figure, the design, the use of the core figures, the "playset" like capability it offers when transformed, but I don't know if I like it quite as much as a figure I don't want to try to transform out of fear of breaking it. :/

Thanks man. I've kinda come to peace with it, but I have skipped Comera, Echara, and Dai-Z as a result. Sounds like the QC is better on all of those, and where they're not through FPCore I might get them when I'm feeling less salty, but for now, I'm off FP. I agree with you - a Transformer that's almost guaranteed to break when you transform is a failure on its most basic level, even if the different forms are fun in and of themselves.

Wow, yeah, that's a mess, dude. Sorry to hear that (congrats on the wedding, tho! Those are always a good time).
Also: Holy cow, it HAS been a year, hasn't it? That's completely insane. No other company would force you to wait that long, especially when they're still selling those figures on basically every website. I get that it's tough running things like this, and there's part of me that really believes A3U/FPCore had their hearts in the right places with all of this, but the fact that when stuff got hard they just kinda threw their hands up and walked away while the rest of us are left holding the bags (bags which still don't have working waists).

Anyhow, good luck with all of that. I think I'll try to hit them up again, but yeah, even when I was trying to get a replacement, it felt like people in our situation were pretty low priority.

I get a feeling they can find them just fine when they don't have to give them out for free...
I've been working with customer service in various forms for most of my career, and I can tell you that most good places will bend over backwards if you're cool w/them because of how many mean people they have to deal with. In this case, sounds like they're taking your chill for granted as you said. Man, such a disappointing situation. I feel for ya.

    From the FansProject Facebook page:

    --

After the construction of Dai-Z it was clear that when combined the tri-vehicles was a much more powerful weapon then when on their own. Trianix decided that it was clear this was needed for his own ground version of the tri-vehicles and so Steel helps create the Trianix-Shield, a perfect addition to Trianix, not only to have a shield in battle but can now combine his own vehicles into a single large assault vehicle..

Available exclusively on the FansProject store and ready for delivery in January of 2018.

    FB_IMG_1513943140094.jpg

Note: It looks a heck of a lot like the shield that comes with Dia-Z, which is used in combination on that toy.

I don't have them handy, but I think the new shield has to be slightly different. I remember trying to use the shield with Trianix and I believe the motorcycle (front piece) didn't attach properly. I'm getting old, tho, so I may be misremembering.

Smart on FP's part, sell these
And have them come with replacement parts
So want it or not people with this figure will be buying the shield

A plus instead of a loss on replacment parts for FP

Am I the only one wishing it was red? Not understanding what the Blue is supposed to match. Maybe it looks good in combined mode, though.

I agree there. Red I think would really help differentiate from Dai Z, but also that red is so stellar I think the colors would just really pop! I’d go so far as to say doing red with a white stripe or some edge details would really help it stand out.

Yeah, I'll echo the desire for this in red. The blue isn't horrible, and without vehicle mode picks it's hard to say it's good or bad, but a bright red shield would be pretty dope. I'll get it either way, of course . . .

ETA: Apparently, I thought all of this when I got Dai-Z

I thought they fixed the connection joint on Trianix, but the first time I tried to pull the waist apart it snapped one of the tab bits inside the torso slot. It seems to be holding fine, but I'm worried the other will go. Did FP's store send replacements?
