Guess they wanted to make sure Not-Kickback didn't end up in the same club as Windbreaker and Alpha-Q...

Not sure it's much of an improvement though...

Weird that there is no color sample shown when they're about to be released.

Well, since I plan on referring to them as Shrapnel, Bombshell, and Kickback FP could call them all late to dinner and it wouldn't matter to me.

WHy Backfiery? What is wrong with backfire? Honestly I sorta see the fart joke there if you dig deep but to me it is what happens to a car. It backfires.

Oh well, as stated to me they are Kickback, Bombshell and Shrapnel.

I'm guessing because Backfire is a trademarked name Hasbro has used for Transformers in the past. Don't won't to poke the bear anymore than necessary, and using the same name they've copyrighted would certainly do that

Ya IP theft is one thing...Name theft attached to a similar IP...That would make for very easy hunting. Smart move.

I honestly wish they'd have gone with the Deluxe Insecticons references and/or paint schemes. There wasn't a stag beetle in the originals, just Chopshop as a deluxe.

"Backfiery"? Really? I understand wanting to keep the "Back" in his name, but there's gotta be better options. Hey, if he's a "ninja" with a bunch of knives why not "Backstab"?

Too bad they didn't make that an option to begin with. I really don't want to buy these twice, and the Deluxe paintschemes seem to make more sense.

As stated they're elemental & Hasbro did a Backfire.

I wonder if someone at FansProject is a CLAMP (manga group) fan? In Cardcaptors, there's a Fire Element Card/ Spirit called The Fiery.

& the original names sounded better, but I expected this name change from day 1, as they better align w/ their Hasbro counterparts.

I'm glad I did a search for "Backfiery" (as I know it's unique), I thought about making a new thread if noone had beaten me to it...

I'm surprised this hasn't been Front Paged yet.
